Book launch tonight at Easter Road

I have an invitation to tonight's launch of Ted Brack's latest book at Easter Road tonight, just wondering if anyone other Hibs.netters will be in attendance?

My old boy got a ticket from one of the sheriffs in the court in Chambers Street, the justice system has gone mad!

Seems a bit lenient as far as sentencing goes...

I know its a bit late notice, but, if anyone can get to Slateford and then down to ER they are welcome to it, first person to PM me gets it.

Great night. Good to see likes of Jim Herriot who haven't seen at previous launches. Stan Vincent should have taken up after dinner speaking. All the Tornadoes present were so humble. Guys, stand up and be proud! Cheers,Ted, for another great evening.

    Stan's always been a character

A wee story about the man. As a kid I used to go to ER every weekend and so I saw a lot of reserve games when the 'big' team was away. One Saturday afternoon, as the game ended, I joined in the customary running onto the park to get autograph's. I approached Stan and politely asked if I could have his autograph and he took my book and pen while asking me "Who's the best centre forward in Scotland son?" He'd scored two that day but I'm an honest lad and so replied "Colin Stein" whereupon my book and pen were promptly handed back Stein was my hero at that time but I guess it would have been appropriate to lie given the circumstances
    This is how it feels

Classic from Cropley tonight, along the lines of:

"My one regret about 0-7 is my goal, given my time again I would have scored it better!"

Looking forward to reading the book!

Am gutted I couldn't make it so many many thanks for these pics

Lots of laughter there and I'd wager a great deal of it would be as a result of Jimmy O'Rourke's humour

Yes, Jimmy provided a good few laughs, but it was Stan Vincent who was the star turn! All the former players certainly enjoyed each others anecdotes, and for guys like myself who were too young to see them during that golden era, it was one of those rare occasions that you actually wish you were older..!

He is chairman of Tranent Juniors so he won't be at all Hibs games, I think he still goes occasionally.

Once got Tam Preston to get me a signature from Neil. If you know him might be worth a try.
