Obviously not new but The Beatles are now on the streaming sites.
I've been doing a bit of a Beatles retrospective recently and I'd say Revolver is probably their best album, closely followed by Sgt Pepper and Rubber Soul. White Album used to be my fave, maybe I've just played it to death but not appreciating it as much.

Aye, my mate's favs were Revolver & Rubber Soul.
Mine was, & still is, Abbey Road (esp. side 2 of the album).

Haven't got round to that one yet, need to do that today! Aye, side 2 is excellent. Also need to play Let It Be and that's the lot.

Beatles for sale is worth a listen again. Best of the early ones imo. 8 days a week, I'll follow the sun, every little thing and what you're doing are all favourites of mine.

Obviously it can't compete with the quality and innovation of the later ones but it's an interesting snapshot of that point in their development.

Not out yet but if Asking Alexandria's new track, The Black, is anything to go by, their new album is going to be superb!

Been listening to Northlane's "Node" a lot lately and really enjoying it.
Madness, as you know, is a lot like gravity. All it takes is a little push.

I really like Islands by Bear's Den. Thought it would be some Mumfords type nonsense but it's actually understated, quite rousing in places (if that makes sense!) folky type stuff with lovely vocals and a few cracking tunes, especially Agape.

Yep that's a good track and like the lyrics to the one with the word Pompeii in it

I'm looking forward to Steve Mason's new album Meet The Humans which is out next week. The single Planet Sizes is getting a good bit of airplay on 6music just now and sounds pretty good.

Hills End by the DMA's. Very similar songs to Oasis and the Stone Roses. Well worth £6 to download.
