Glad he's moved on from here but he's a decent keeper and will do ok up there.

He did well for Inverness, and County have at least two of their old geezers now (Tokely and Munro). Brown is really a line goalkeeper, he needs some big and ugly defenders in front of him to deal with those nasty crossing things for him (Tokely and Munro again). Give him those and he'll probably do quite well. Sounds like he is only being signed as cover anyway.

ROSS County have swooped to land former Caley Thistle and Hibs number one keeper Mark Brown until the New Year.

Staggies manager Derek Adams made the surprise move ahead of tonight’s (Tuesday’s) Scottish Communities League Cup first round tie against Division One side Raith Rovers as back-up to Michael Fraser.

The 31-year-old has been drafted in due to Joe Malin being sidelined and the transfer window closing at the end of the week.

Fraser has been in dazzling form, keeping three clean sheets form the club’s opening four SPL fixtures, but Brown’s addition will ensure he’s kept on his toes.

Both players were team-mates at Inverness CT, where Brown kept Fraser on the bench most weeks, but the roles are reversed in Dingwall.

Having been freed by Hibs earlier in the year, Brown’s bid to land a deal at English League Two side Southend United failed to materialise and he returned north of the border to try and win a deal.

That prompted Adams to contact the former Rangers youth goalkeeper and secure his services for at least four months.

Despite hinting that he’d make no changes for the visit of unbeaten Raith, Adams has had a change of heart and is expected to name a few players who have been in the stand or on the bench so far this season.

Both teams have impressed in the opening weeks of the campaign.

Unbeaten County have conceded only a stoppage time goal against champions Celtic and are just one point behind the Hoops and Hibs at the top of the table.

The Kirkcaldy side have yet to concede a goal and, with seven points from three games, are just two points below top team Partick Thistle in the First Division.
