Enough negativity, let's focus on what is going to (hopefully!) be a decent year for Hibs.
Prediction hats on folks - which player do you think will be our player of the year this season, someone who makes a clear difference.

I would have went for Griffiths if it was a one year deal.
Went for McPake instead.

Cairney looks the business, gets stuck in and looks comfortable on the ball and appears to be a handful on the pitch. I can see him getting a lot of plaudits this season and being our player of the year.

i thought i'd add Clancy... I was going to say Williams, McPake or Handling but Clancy i reckon will do well. Im just hoping the team as a whole do well...

"..out tope player this year?" - Eh...remove oven gloves before typing.
I think Ross Caldwell may have a good season. I'm just not sure how many starts he will get.

Went for Sammy Stanton. Definately a very good player in there, whether or not he breaks through to the first team this season or next we will have to wait to see.

Went for griffiths. Struggled between mcpake, cairney and sparky the goals he'll score edged it.

The reaction to him being on trial with us has been OTT even by Hibs.net standards.

Went for Claros because let's face it, everyone here that was here last year HAS to play better. Right? :)

I'm sure I heard Iniesta say he had long studied the game of Mark Kerr, and will be honoured to play in his testimonial when MK is a club legend, record appearance holder and long term captain in ten years time.

I was tempted to take a chance on Cairney as I'm hopeful he could turn out to be a really good signing. But on the evidence of last season my POY predictor pick has got to be McPake!
I'm delighted that he signed on to be our captain for the next couple of years and I'll be even more delighted (baring injury disasters god-forbid) if I end up being wrong - as I think McPake will have a cracking season anyway and if any other Hibs player pips him for POY then we'll be going in the right direction.

I suppose I probably predicted that people would to be likely to go for McPake, but glad to see people seem to rate Cairney. Here's to a good year ahead!
