Those are the picks I'd want. Two absolute studs will still be on the board in 16 and 17, much better than the 1st and the 33rd pick.
Agreed. In a big league like this the quality drops significantly between the start of the second and the end.

Indeed. What's the hold up? Hold haymaker to his Tebow pick and move on :)
He maybe part of my sleeper plan. Or something. I have had a lot of cider.

I know I am the perennial draft complainer but are we going with the updated list (above) again this year or are we going to try the google docs approach? I ask now because if we do go the google docs approach, the sooner we make that decision the easier it will be to enter the data (rather than entering lots of picks all at once). I'll have my own cheat sheet anyway so I don't really read through the list, I'm just thinking about overall clarity.

Here is a link to a sheet that I have setup. If you want to use it, go ahead. Everyone will be responsible for making their own updates. I know it's tempting but please don't edit other people's picks.

Feel free to make whatever changes you like with respect to formatting. Last year some people colour coded the cells so that identifying players by position was really easy (useful for flex position and bench spots).

Here is last years sheet for reference:

24 hours now since Gatey picked but I'm reluctant to suggest we just bypass Haymaker as a) we've started early and b) it's a first round pick...

Though FFS Haymaker, shift your arse, would you?

I wasnt ready to start early. I will get my pick done when I get home.

Haymakers Patriots risk it all by selecting....

Robert "The Gronk" Gronkowski, New England Patriots.

Anyone got a good cheat sheet? I printed one that was 8 pages long, not exactly perfect! I cant find the template I used last year which was like 300+ players on one a4

Use the usual method or wait until you get to a computer. I don't know what people use for cell phones but if you have anything like a smart phone it should be able to open up a google doc. You should be able to open it through the Google Docs app and I am sure you can access it through a browser too. If you have an old flip phone, you might be better off mailing in your picks. ;)

Edit: I've updated the spreadsheet with the latest two picks but I'm not volunteering to do that all the time. :) If people don't want to use it then I'll just maintain my own list.

I see no reason to change. We all have nfl.com logins, league is set up & we should all be comfortable with the mechanics of the league by now. If it ain't broke...

Agreed. I just wanted to make sure since scoring settings make a slight difference to pick strategy.

For people (with smart phones) who want help in tracking the draft, RotoWire has an application that allows you to enter your league settings, etc. then you can mirror the picks from here in the application. That will keep a track of who's been picked, who's available, etc. It's $4.99 so that might put you off but I downloaded it today and it seems like it will help a lot. I play in other leagues too so this helps in keeping all my information in one place, easy to access.

If he hasn't picked by midnight, does that mean the next person to pick has to make that pick by noon tomorrow?

I think so. I was looking back at last years draft (pretty entertaining read btw!) & think we only had one missed pick which was chosen at the end of the draft. I think that would be harsh at this early stage, I'd suggest that any missed picks could be chosen during a 12hr window the end of each round? I guess that's up to us decide as a league. We are about a month ahead of schedule compared to last time but it would be great to get the draft going at a reasonable pace

Has Calvin even acknowledged the start of the draft?

Might not even have a clue its his pick because it was started early.

I do. I'm not sure how a group is set up but if someone's willing to set it up for us then grand!

Yeah with 6th pick he's probably expecting to be picking some time tomorrow or Sunday. Would be pretty harsh at this stage to take it away from him considering we started early. Does anyone know him to be able to contact him?

I think it's just a case of starting a conversation with everyone on it. I'm sure we'll be fine once we build up some steam. I'm ready to go, assuming I'm awake when my turn comes around.

Hey guys! Will someone spare a thought for the bar managers of the world!

I'm keen for the whatsapp idea actually, would be quite handy.

Anyway, I'm gonna select Le'Veon Bell. Still worth it with the three game suspension. And I have to change the name of my team...
