For £2m according to the BBC. Could be a good deal if The Hammers can stay up. He looked like finding a wee bit of form towards the end of the season/Euro's.

Andy is good when teams play to his strengths. He's a rich man's Crouch. But only due to his price. West Ham might be a good move. Is Nolan still there?

How we could do with a bid la like that up front.
I rate the lad but he is way over priced at £30M. A great bit of business by Big Sam.
Get the finger out Petrie. We Can all see we need a target man up front as a foil for Griffiths & Doyle.
£2M for a season long loan - I can't believemy second love beat us to it!

Could be crucial with the new SKY deal starting next season. Rumours seem to be continuing re large investment from The Westfield Group, hope it goes better than it did with the Icelandic mob!

Liverpool FC has confirmed today that a mole within the corporate communications division has been discovered, located and eliminated. Over the last 24 hours the club has released two bogus news stories indicating that they had accepted bids for two players (Andy Carroll and Alberto Aquilani) and that deals to sell those players were imminent.
In order to locate the errant staff member the club had to portray an act of almost complete fabrication knowing that the source of previous leaks would give away his/her position. The club has become known for its secrecy in transfer dealings and absolutely insists on continuing in this manner. It was therefore essential that the club deceived other staff, fans and press journalists alike to ensure the lie was kept completely confidential.
Jen Chang, Liverpool’s Director of Communications was unavailable for comment, but quickly released a short statement through junior LFC staff – “We apologise to all our fans around the world for the recent confusion surrounding players and transfers. Complete secrecy was required for a successful mole hunt, and we are now happy to confirm normal service resuming. We can categorically say that no deals have been agreed for Andy Carroll or Alberto Aquilani”.

He'd do hilarious amounts of damage in the SPL, mind. Maybe he should move to Hibs for a season, and rediscover the joy of scoring goals on a weekly basis.

This is a great piece of business by West Ham, the exact type of player they needed and they play very similar to the way newcastle played when they came up, I can see this going very well for Carroll and West Ham, less so for Liverpool

The lad will get plenty 1st team action at W Ham, they'll play to his strengths, at Liverpool, Rodgers plays with 3 mobile forwards up front and Carroll didn't fit into his team at all.

I wouldn't be too happy if I was a Liverpool fan, 35m striker emptied for a guy from Swansea and a possible Chelsea loan. Pretty rubbish times ahead there.
