Not read the rag - Was it supposed to be a hotel at Edinburgh airport?
Doesn't sound like Rods style...? Surely a place more out the way would be appropriate"We know the people who have invested so far are simple fans." Vladimir Romanov - Scotsman 10th December 2012
"Romanov was like a breath of fresh air - laced with cyanide." Me.

Why would you even believe anything that paper would print?
Not in a million years would Rod meet Green in a hotel in Edinburgh.

If you consider that Rod Petrie is supposed to be at the Euros, i would assume this is not an accurate report?

Someone said on here during the week that Petrie was attending a meeting at a hotel with Greene. Either it's true or the mail has lifted it straight from here

What strikes me about the report, is that it was believed that Green met with Petrie. Why would Green meet any other SPL Chairman (obviously to discuss the impending vote), but the SFA should have categorically stated that Newco had to apply to Division 3....This whole situation reeks to high heaven............"There's class, there's first class and there's Hibs class" - Eddie Turnbull

Why would Petrie or any other SPL Chairman not want to meet and find out a bit more of the views of the new owner of Hunville 2012? Seems reasonable to me.
Would like to think that having heard the apologies and grovelling of the new man in town , that he was told in no uncertain terms that "you can't put a price on sporting integrity" so here's a Guide to Scottish Division 3 Grounds and some useful tips on knowing which Creditors to take seriously.
Unfortunately for Greene he's just bought the bed that someone else made but he's going to have to lie in it!

Steven Thomson of Dundee United is quoted as saying that The Rangers will have to work hard to get the 8 votes. This sounds to me like an invitation to offer sweeteners to the "Gang of 10". If there was a benefit for Hibs then it would be a bit daft of Rod not to listen to Green's pitch.

I don't think there would be anything sinister about Rod meeting the guy. He knows what "the vast majority" of Hibs fans want.

They are disgusting, they have no honour or decency, and they are cheats. The reality is though that these are not factors that seem to worry the people who run our game - if they did this would have been settled months ago. It's clear they will do anything to preserve the status quo.
With that in mind, a pragmatic person would have to balance up the options in favour of what was best for their club. I'm sure Rod would have made it clear to Green, if they met, that he would have to be able to come up with 12,000 new fans for Hibs (source: The Bloke in the Pub) if Der Hun is allowed to play.
My feeling is that Green will have a good few sleepless nights between now and the SFA's ultimate capitulation to Rangers. Scotland stands at the crossroads.

Under no circumstances at all should a new club ever just go straight into top flight that is what the leagues are there for. Every other club not in leagues should be applying to get that space they have as much right as new Rangers.
If they are allowed in we are saying you can buy your position in our league without kicking a ball and that is nothing short of a disgrace to the game.

Never knew who this character Green was until I saw him on TV the other day.
He looks like a trust worthy kind of guy.
Not!!

I'll stick up for Rod, maybe he was invited, maybe he went, and maybe he even agreed to support in the meeting. So Green goes away thinking only 7 more..... Then Rod stitches them up.

If you don't like something that is said then argue your point but don't give me this pish about 'lot of others' don't contribute cos of it.
We all started with zero - get a thicker skin and join in.Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, vodka in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming, "WOO HOO what a ride!"
