    A Big Thank You

I came over for the weekend from Munich to see the Cup Final. Enough has been said about the game and the team so my message is different

I would like to say a big thank you to a number of groups/people that played a big part in making my weekend enjoyable (or as enjoyable as it could be, in view of the result)

Firstly, the hibs.net team (especially Mikey) that organised the buses. Despite being on a bus that we all thought was a reject from Glasgow Transport museum, we did actually make it to hampden and back.

To all the lads and lasses on hibs.net bus 004 (the big red school bus). You provided great fun and loads of laughs, even on the way home. I was the guy that got lumbered with the temporary role of Bus Convener and my Dad was the old guy that directed the driver to drive round the back of the South Stand (and couldn't navigate his way to his own front room).

To the people that spent a fortune on the card display and all the volunteers that put out the cards and flags the night before. Fantastic effort guys.

Finally, to my fellow Hibs fans who were absolutely magnificent in providing one of the best football atmospheres I've ever seen. There can be loads of complaints about the team but the backing of the fans from at least 30 minutes before KO cannot be faulted.

    Thanks To All,

    Keith

One of the positives... The backing we gave the team was tremendous.

Despite the anxiety about how up for it we'd be the fans were fantastic we stood up and I've heard even a few yams admitting they were impressed.

We kept going and despite adversity kept with them although the sending off was a killer.
We can and should take heart from this we can more than match them in terms of passion.

Now for the small task of getting a team worthy of our support.

    Thanks To All,

    Keith

I was on that bus as well. Well done to the lads upstairs who even after seeing our team get humped still managed to have a good sing song in both directions. Better singers than One Direction. I give you Two Directions.

Oh and what was that bus like? I'm amazed it even got as far as the Edinburgh bypass. I got on at Kaimes and as soon as I saw it and felt like singing What's that coming over the hill...hope it's not our bus, hope it's not our bus To be fair what can you expect nowadays for £10. Stick petrol in it and it would probably fetch £20.

Joking aside. Well organised and got us there and back.

I also came over from Munich on Friday and wrote a similar post - here it is once more:

I flew over from Germany on Friday night on the off-chance of picking up a ticket. Until 9.45 on Saturday morning I'd had no luck despite spending almost 12 hours solid on the forum. I then received a call from Graciehfc offering me a ticket at face value and offering to meet me at Hampden.
Despite having paid an inflated price for the ticket which later became surplus, he refused to take even a few quid extra for a pint and, indeed, he and his pals insisted on buying me a few pints before the game. We may have a losing team but we have some winning supporters.
Thanks also to Petrie's Tache and happyhibbie for the help and encouragement.
