There's been a lot of talk on here over the last few days about players lack of professionalism etc over the last few years. Was thinking about this earlier and thought maybe we had been exaggerating slightly but off the top of my head I came up with:
Darren McCormack brawling with a Hearts player.
Victor Palsson urinating within the premises of (not actually inside) a club.
Graham Stack brawling in Bacaro.
Steven Fletcher involved in a brawl and ending up with a broken nose in the week of an Edinburgh Derby, other players allegedly present.
Felipe Morais kicking a bouncer in the head outside a casino.
Sol Bamba strolling back from the African Cup of Nations a couple of weeks late.
Leigh Griffiths being.banned on 3 seperate occasions for essentially the same offence.
Derek Riordan arrested and fined for breach of the peace whilst at the club.
That's just off the top of my head. I'm sure there's more. That really is a shocking lack of discipline at the club. No wonder John Collins was so desperate to change it.
Anyone coming into the club now really must be made aware this kind of thing is 100% unacceptable.

Pre season bust ups which was hardly the ideal prep and would have done nothing for dressing room harmony.

Riordan sneaking into nightclubs despite being banned
Riordan singing the refugee song on video in the pub
O'connor crashing his car and legging it
O'connor caught with coke and legging it
Scott breaking welsh jaw during training
Entire squad chucking their toys out the pram and going behind the managers back to the chairman when they were told not to drink alcohol during a training camp.
I seem to remember Benji or zemmama going AWOL after international duty as well at some point?

Sorry guys I should probably clarify I'm not singling anyone out for critcism or as a scapegoat. I'm sure in more than one of these instances there is an element of mitigation.
All I was trying to is point out that since about 2005 we have had a real problem with players getting into bother, treating the club with contempt (Bamba after ACN for example) etc, obviously a couple of people have provided examples of incident pre dating this as well.
Just seems to me that there is a problem with the disciplinary procedures at the club and maybe a tougher stance, regardless of ability is needed.
I was unaware of any thread on kickback that was similar to this as well, not related to me in any way.

Yep i agree with that, but he wasn't charged with a breach of the peace, it doesn't go on your record or anything like that if you get a fixed penalty, you pay £40 and are told to leave the town for the night, but the Sun just love to make a mountain out of molehill.
And if i remember correctly i said it at the time that it was a stupid thing to do, but it aint no crime of the century, or a breach of the peace, oh do i just love the Sun for its honesty.

As I said above I was not intending to have a go at any one individual, I was giving examples to highlight a point I was trying to make, perhaps badly. It appears I got my facts a wrong re Derek Riordan, I will happily remove his name from my op since that is the case. I'd also say that all things considered Derek done far more good for Hibs than bad, a fixed penalty charge doesn't change that for me, or about 99% of fans.
I'm sure the other players you mentioned got up to a fair few high jinks in their day. However that was then, this is now. The management team, board, era we live in has changed since every one of them plied their trade in a Hibs top. The examples I gave, and the 2005 (approximate) time frame was given because there is a crossover with players, board members and up until recently coaches still at the club.
Finally I'm sure these types of incidents are far from exclusive to Hibs, I could give examples easily of similar from Aberdeen, Hearts and Dundee Utd. But it is a problem with Scottish (British?) football. Maybe naming individuals was the wrong way to go about it but I see no harm in calling fpr Hibs to take a lead in changing habits when it comes to alcohol use, diet, discipline etc.

The Sun rag, that story is just hilarious, a witness who doesn't want to be named, Grad Cru declined to comment, and then look at the picture and read what it says underneath it. , in his Hibs gear trying to get in to a club, you think he would go home and get changed before going out. .,.
Anyway, yes Stack did get charged with an assault down South last year at a nightclub.

I know what you mean but some of these are non stories .
Brebner peeing in a doorway , please ! Who hasn't ?
McManus at the lap dancing ! Not my thing but hardly uncommon with young footballers/men.
Riordan singing a song he shouldn't . A lot of us have but don't have the misfortune to get caught by a prat with a mobile phone making a name for themselves.

Fletch was not to blame for getting a broken nose he was walking back from the toilet when someone threw a bottle which fortunately for him only broke his nose and never shattered in his face.
Source? I was there ;)

These guys have an image to keep and if they can't behave themselves, it tarnishes the name of the club and they shouldn't be here.
