All trains to and from Inverness have been dry this season when we have played up there. The chances are high that it will be the same again for this game.

We'll make discreet enquiries before hitting the offy! The last time I was up there there was a German market taking place, the beer went down too nicely, i've no memories of the return journey!

I booked the Megabus there for £1 and coming back was £10. Absolute bargain, the bus going up takes 4 and a half hours, coming back is about 3 and a half hours. It can be 3 hours if they run a service that runs non-stop like they did last time.

Got an email from Scotrail Customer Relations saying
"Thank you for your email dated 6 May 2012 in connection with services between Edinburgh and Inverness on Saturday 12 May.
I am informed that there is no alcohol ban and that normal byelaws will apply to the services you mention."

Wait till saturday and youll be dissapointed as the police will probably make it a dry train the night before. I asked a scotrail guy on a friday night once and he said the police usually just tell us on the morning of the game if they are making it a dry train.

S43 bus has a few spare seats available for those who are interested.
£12 a head, leaving from Clubstore at 9am and stopping off at Aviemore for a few scoops.
