Terrible result today...so many of the players look as if they don't care and certainly don't realise they are in a relegation fight. So disappointing the last two weeks after the elation of the semi-final, and as for Fenlon saying we were unlucky I don't buy that, team lack width, pace, skill and fight. You make your own luck and don't think we deserved any today.
Anyway, wanted to see what you thought of the game today and rate the players.
Brown - seemed out of position for the goal but didn't have too much else to do. 6.
Docherty - didn't seem too interested and already had his mind on going back to wolves imo. 5.
McPake - Feel sorry for the guy as he tries so hard and is a good defender but others let him down again today.Best of a bad bunch. 7.
Hanlon - Once again looked shaky and never really feel too confident when he is on the ball although looks better with McPake along side him. 5.
Kujabi - thought going forward he was ok and delivered a lot of good crosses with no-one ever on the end of it. 6.
Soares - absolute waste of space. Hope he doesn't play at Pittodrie but probably will in absence of Stevenson. 2.
Stevenson - again tried hard but shows a real lack of quality and sheer stupidity to get sent off. 5.
Osbourne - Like this guy but never really seems to break a sweat. Think he has the quality but maybe not always the confidence to play the final ball? not sure what is missing. 5.
Francomb - another loan player who doesn't look too bothered about getting his hands dirty in a relegation scrap. 4.
Griffiths - he really missed Garry today and always seems to try and do the difficult thing (e.g. bicycle attempt in the latter stages). So much potential though and hope he fulfils it at hibs. 6.
Doyle - seemed to lack the composure and quality to score today but again think he has the potential. Him and Griffiths too similar to form a partnership and missed an absolute sitter in 2nd half. 5.
Fenlon - Once again like countless other hibs managers he waited until we were 1-0 down before making a substitution. Team was crying out for some natural width and pace from Sproule but waited until it was too late to make changes. St Mirren were very negative today but Pat had no ideas of how to break them down. 4.

Disagree with most of what you say to be honest. We could've/should've won that game comfortably on a different day.

Thought we were much better than them and the stats prove that. Keeper had nothing to do, defence was untroubled and midfielders won their battles. The problem is two fold. We don't have a player who can open up a tight defence and we don't have a target man upfront.
For the second week in a row we are sat here talking about a defeat when we should be talking about a victory.

Today, I don't think I saw once, a player who was capable of scoring, getting a goal scoring chance, so by what measure's, are you using, to say we should have won?

More possession counts for nothing...its goals that show who was better.

Thought Soares was awful apart from a super run, Doyle should have scored but made it easy for Samson, and Ozzy does my head in, ball came to him, he should have put his laces through it for a shot, instead passes ball (and buck) to Griffiths....
We have very little fight in that team, and 3 more Cup Finals before playing yams"There's class, there's first class and there's Hibs class" - Eddie Turnbull
