been told Hibs have a new director on the board,(well he is meant to have been appointed at the end of last year), a guy by the name of Brian Houston.
he is supposed to be a specialist in re-financing & re-structuring businesses.
I am just wondering if this is true, wether the board are making changes with the 1st Division in mind

They only pretend to care about fans when they want our money.

This was asked as one of the Q&A IIRC. We'll see what they say (assuming that it was one of the questions passed on). Strange that it's not been announced, if true, though.
Edit: A quick search would appear to confirm it. Appointed 14 Dec 2011.

All questions that were asked were collated and that wasn't one of them.

Another accountant on the board that probably doesn't know a football from an easter egg?
How about appointing a "football orientated" director for once instead of a money one?
Will probably never happen under Farmer though...

the board has more accountants than Deloitte & Touche, i wonder if STF is running an accountancy business using ER as it's base

Brian Gilchrist Houston (64) was indeed appointed on Dec 14th. He is also a director of THM Associates, which is classed as a Management Consultancy Firm.
He has previously worked in Germany and stays in Ayrshire.

What type of football orientation were you looking for? Ther board have just confirmed that they would see a Director of Football as impacting on the ability of the manager do his job.

No problem with the appointment in itself, if the guy has been brought in to do a job then it must be felt its necessary.
Buy Hibs yet again don't help themselves. 2 seconds to update the website and insert a wee note in the programme.'The club announce that Brian Houston has been appointed in whatever position.'
Simple and stops any rumour about 'more accountants' etc etc.
