    Lionel Messi

According to BBC website Messi is now 1 goal away from being Barca's joint all time goal scorer.

Over the past few years his stats are as follows

    • 2007-08: 16 goals
    • 2008-09: 38
    • 2009-10: 47
    • 2010-11: 53
    • 2011-12: 51 so far

Sure some stato will be able to confirm if Hibs have managed to match him!

Joe Baker got 42 goals in 33 games for us in season 1959 - 1960.

Watch out. You'll get a row for mentioning Messi and not Ronaldo.

Always amazes me when people open a thread that has a title obviously not about Hibs or something that interests them just to have a moan about it.

Probably best delete that last bit though, save you a bit of.bother if you do it before an admin spots it.

Interesting fact that it was only in the last few days that the statto's at Barca looked through all official records to recount the goals that Cesar had scored and found that he had scored only 232 not the previously assumed 235.

Barcelona play Grenada tonight so could well see Leo achieve joint/leading in the top scorer chart

Why is there a thread on this every time Messi is only 1 goal away from being Barcas top scorer?!
You never see any threads saying Ronaldo is only 1 goal away!

Those Baker and Reilly stats are unbelievable!

Oh to have seen those guys play!

Is he able to play the long baw though?

As Levein states players must be able to hoof it up the park, so I won't be passing judgement until I witness an aimless 50 yard punt up the park by Lionel

Barcelona forward Lionel Messi is not only the world's best player but also best paid. He is set to earn £27.4m in 2012 from wages, bonuses, sponsorship and endorsements.

Only one team in the city able to afford those sums.
    Rangers or Hearts???????

Emile Heskey (9 goals) is only 235 goals away from becoming Aston Villa's leading all time scorer. He's only 34 years old. Frightening.

Not only that, but his middle names are "William Ivanhoe"

    And he can do this:

And he's got a fair bit height on Messi.

    Advantage Heskey
There's only one thing better than a Hibs calendar and that's two Hibs calendars
