Ajax vs Man U, Porto vs City and Stoke vs Valencia. I'll go for 2-1 Man U...2-0 Porto (unfortunately as I am a City fan) and I somehow think Stoke will get a result.

Still 1-0 for United.
Would have watched it sooner but forgot that it was on Channel 5. 20 minutes to go.
edit: Can't watch it now as it's clashing with my Eastenders and Emmerdale recordings.

Porto 1-0 Man City - Hulk

Still a pleasure watching Ajax play...have done for many years...anyone else think that strip would look good with the red changed to green?

Porto 1-1 Man City - own goal.
Shame it wasn't Balotelli, as he's allegedly been on the receiving end of racist abuse throughout the game.Madness, as you know, is a lot like gravity. All it takes is a little push.

Man City's discipline has gone out of the window in the past 2 minutes, with 3 yellow cards in quick succession!

Pity they didn't have a " midfield" or they would have probably won.
ManUre had it all their own way in the middle of the park - start to finish
Nothing to choose surely between Man C and Porto over discipline - ref was a bit card happy at times
Two good games to watch as a neutral

I won't have respect for the Europa League until they stop using it as a back-up option for failed Champions League teams.
Teams play their hearts out to get to the latter stages then find the big rich clubs suddenly appear and start scooping up the Europa cash.
If you're out, you're out!

I agree, if you're knocked out of the cl you shouldn't drop into another competition.

Agree totally with your take ion this
Watching the two games last evening this very subject came up and we were agreed they have just formed another " rich club "competition
" The rich get richer and the poor get poorer "

My point was Manure had a midfield which worked well , Ajax were lacking in that department.
That meant that no pressure was being put on Manures defence which last night could have been their achilles heel .
Still all a matter of opinions which we are both entitled to

Opinion is allowed. But Ajax offered little up front and were opened up a few times at the back. Man U played in second gear and won comfortably. So in my view they were better all over the pitch. This Man U team are not as pleasant on the eye but have a very good chance of doing the double.
