http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/front_page/9678373.stm1623 FOOTBALL: Darlington's adminsitrator has sacked manager Craig Liddle and all the club's first-team squad.
harsh. you'd have thought they'd come to some arrangement. Bet they used to 'love the club' and kiss the badge (if they've been holding the club to ransom)
Fair do's if they've been playing for nothing.

A couple had handed in their notice and a couple moved on a 'nominal fee' (probably as much as they could get, really).
Saddled with debts, a giant stadium, and crowds circling around the 2,000-mark, Darlington have struggled since being placed in adminstration by former chairman Raj Singh earlier this month.

Middle class town, that has two big rugby clubs, plus a lot of local's watch Boro, Sunderland, and Newcastle.
Still sad for the core support.

Interesting about Coventry and their part council owned stadium being the root of all their problems, maybe we should let the Cooncil build it for our neighbours under the proviso that all income generated on a match day is used to pay back the debt

a perfect example of why despite things not being great at the moment we still need to back our club imo

Long story, but built on a single guy's ego, and it has not worked, looks like it will be knocked down, and maybe sold to a supermarket.
PS - Built by Hall construction, who did our East stand.

If they can find £50,000 before 3pm then they could secure the club until the end of jan (3 fixtures)

You have got to wonder why either of the old firm don't grab Darlo and give themselves a route into English Leagues ....
