Sorry I can't find a supporting link to this, but in the Sky Sports commentary of the Wigan vs Liverpool game, Martin Tyler and Matt Le Tissier were just discussing the fact that FIFA are intending to abolish the loan system between clubs.
This would be an utterly ludicrous move in my eyes, as loan deals are invaluable to both the clubs who receive players and the players/clubs who go out/send out players on loan.
In terms of finance, player development and utility to lower league clubs who benefit from better quality players going out on loan, it's a superb system in my eyes!

FIFA to end Loan System?
Madness, as you know, is a lot like gravity. All it takes is a little push.

Sorry, after a quick bit of research, I notice it's just the Emergency Loan system.
Sky's commentary team were quite vague in their discussion.Madness, as you know, is a lot like gravity. All it takes is a little push.
