In the process of buying shares now. Phone Pete Jensen, assistant accountant, on 656 7082. He'll tell you how to go about it.
All shares transactions must be processed by Hibs, surprisingly they don't charge a fee for it.

Not sure what the current price is but that would equate to £1.25 per share and that is probably too high so I would say no it's not a good price.

This came up on the PM board a few days ago. Here's what I said then:

I'm not sure the guy should be doing this. Hibs are a private limited company, which means their shares cannot be offered for sale to the general public. Usually, at the very least they have to be offered to existing shareholders before they are sold to anyone else.

    I'd steer clear.
In any case the shares the shares carry no dividend and no real or potential voting power and there's no realisable capital value because the company is unlikely to wind up while solvent. So as an investment they're worthless, as a possession it's entirely your own judgement but you can get better value by going through the club and waiting until some become available.

The only benefit in having shares is access to the AGM. As the next AGM is about 11 months away you're better off getting them direct from the club and then you know you're safe.

I bought some for my son this summer. The whole process took almost a year ( waiting for someone to want to sell I think)

50p a share, no charge for the processing - my cheque was to the previous owner.

but ts about what a buyer and seller agree, last lot I bought via Pete Jensen as suggesed above cost 50p a share and is the most I have ever paid........also a great service from the club as they are effectively unpaid go betweens and don't actually have to do it.
