If our completed stadium is one of the best in Scotland...

... why is Ayr-Kilmarnock being touted for Tynecastle instead of Easter Road?

If this is true, it can only be to placate that spoilt brat of a bairn, commonly known as homofc.

lucky if they get 10 000 fans between them, probably better suited to the smaller Tynecastle stadium.

If this is the case, Why should these fans be travelling accross the country to see their teams? Hampden, Parkhead or Ibrox, albeit too big for the game itself, there is no point making them travel all the way out here for it, typical useless bawbags that run our game at it again imo.

17000 seats will be more than enough I'd imagine!

who is touting this idea ??? and as said above, i imagine both sets of fans would rather take the game to one of the glasgow grounds

Firhill has 10,000 seats and would also be a chance to spread the money around.

No doubt Romanov will demand rent straight away to aid with some 'cash flow' problems.

Kenny Sheils was saying yesterday that a wee trip to Edinburgh would add to the day out experience as well as nit rattling around in. Weegie venue.

Thought that myself. Ayr seemed to take a good following to St Mirren in the previous round so the slightly larger capacity at Partick might make the difference. Would be miles better than having them trek through to Edinburgh or worse still have them rattling around Hampden.

Would Motherwell not be convenient for them?

Fair shout. 13,742 capacity should be big enough.

I would have thought that would be ideal, location and capacity wise.

Some of the facilities leave a lot to be desired, for instance Wheelchair facilities. If that's the reason for not playing there, the facilities at Tynecastle surely aren't much of a step up.

One quote...........If it isn't on tv, I would be confident of 25,000+.

I'm sure he stays in Edinburgh so that's probably why

If their fans want Hampden, then give them Hampden.

In a certain semi-final v rangers, we created a great atmosphere with c 8k fans. S much so, even a hun friend through here commented that it sounded on the telly as though we had 20k at the game.

The Yams I know always claim that the 'atmosphere' at the Slag-heap's caused by the distillery venting.

There was 11000ish for the fourth round replay at Rugby Park, think it was on the tele as well.

Think there will be more at this one, undoubtably the Celtic game will be the one on the tele instead of us, quite a few folk that don't normally go to game are wanting to go too.

Fair point. Just trying to save you travelling all the way through to Edinburgh, only to end up in a crumbling, pink disaster

Over ten thousand for the Killie v Falkirk game at Fir Park in 2007 as well....

But yeah I don't think I want the game played in Edinburgh but not sure of the right size of stadium would be though

I suppose the footballing authorities were trying to find an Edinburgh venue where people from a decrepit, post-industrial, socially deprived region might feel a little more comfortable?

You could invite them all to your Merchiston penthouse to watch it on your 42" Plasma. Ample space I hear.
