Not counting the cost of a matchday ticket or your ST, how much on average do you spend on attending a home game? Travel/food/beer/merchandise/programme/bookies/happy hibee ticket etc

Flight Costs?
Depending on travel costs from London / Luton, up to £200.
Not planning to be back before Christmas though........
I'd rather watch Luton Town / Watford / Stevenage where the managers' appear to have a game plan and be tactically aware.

Travel 0
Merchandise 0. - just tend to go for end of season discounts although recently did buy sunshine 12 gbp and our group bought 3 adult shirts (exceptional tho)
Catering about 10 gbp
Half time draw 1 gbp
So about 11gbp
But wonder what you can draw from averages. Due to circumstances I only
Attend on an infrequent basis. So you cant extrapolate. Plus takings are
Predominantly to the caterers.

Travel between £25 and £50 depending if I drive or book a train ticket early enough.
Scran for the day around £10
Bets £5-£10
If it's the Derby then it aways turns into a bit of a Leo Sayer so £100 on bevvy etc
So, an average, run of the mill home game would cost me between £45 and £70 before I buy my match ticket. The Derby can cost up to a couple of hundred quid!

The train can cost anywhere between £12 to £30 return. drink and food about £25 and a tenner in the bookies.
Some games we stay over, hotel and bevy can run up to around the £150 mark on top i suppose.

Travel anything from £13 to £25 depending on how early I book my tickets (and that's with a Railcard discount).
Booze depends on whether or not I've driven to the train station so anything from a tenner to probably 40-50 quid, albeit for a decent session.
Usually get a pie and a Bovril in the ground and a Happy Hibee so call that a fiver.
Rarely do an overnight stop but got lucky for the Inverness home game in December and got the Travelodge in Shandwick Place for £23.50 for one night.

if i get the train through, its a fiver, if i drive i'll just add an extra tenner onto what i normally put in.
thats it

The reason I asked was that I usualy spend very little, drive to the game and buy a Happy Hibee is about it. On Saturday I went very early to BTG in order to get a seat to watch the Lpool - Utd game................Bus fare/Bevvy/Food/Bookie/Happy Hibee and I soon realised why I don't do it every week! Looking at the replies so far a lot of cash is spent every week by some of you guys which must make the decision to continue attending and watching the same rubbish a very difficult one at times!

Costs
Since giving up season ticket this season i have been thinking about this issue too.
I have chosen not to attend matches (home or away) this season unless I consider things to have picked up. Based on what I've seen on TV I won't be rushing back soon.
Probably saving around:
Train C.£6 return for home match. Car for away games and fuel can be up to £20 in SPL
Beer/Food/bet/happy hibby ticket etc C. £20
Match ticket C.£25 (some cat A and some Cat B so average of £25)
In effect I save a minimum of £50 per home match not attended and even more for away matches!!!!
I wonder what I've done with all thesae savings each week?

How much will these fans spend if they stop going to watch their team ? Bookies and pub are habits / addictions so probably spend the same or more ( 90 minutes more to drink ) though travel costs are obviously big for many fans and tickets etc too especially if you`re taking family .

£0 - I dont go to the games!
I actually (attempt to) play football on saturdays so going to games are out but ones that i could make, i dont go to. Too expensive to get in for the fare thats on offer. I usually try make 2 or 3 a season but wont be this year.
Last year, i actually walked to ER after the gym, went to go to the East Stand, got pee'd off there was only 2 cash turnstiles open (that were chocca) while there was a lot of ticket only ones sitting empty. Said, "sod this" walked back into town, got a burger king then came home!
True story!

Last time I came over with the sole intention of taking in a Hibs game it set me back around £600. If I can plan well ahead then those costs can be reduced by about half.

Home game, around £20and that's pints, supporters bus and something to eat at the game, maybe a wee bit more for the bigger games. Away games usually around £40, £50 but I get free tickets for these so the majority of folk will be spending a fair whack more than me. Aberdeen and Inverness i'm usually looking at a hit of about £100
