Accrington Stanley v Tranmere match has been postponed after 39 minutes because of 18 year old Accrington Standley player Tom Bender and been down for half and hour with suspected broken neck. Truly horrific , I hope he is all right.

Hubby said it was abandoned and sky sports news said but I didn't realise the extent - gawd I hope the young lad is okay!!

BBC report it as a head injury and say he was coming round as he left the ground for hospital so hopefully he is okay.

His condition has stabilised, he was given Oxygen and left for hospital on a drip.
He is on loan at Stanley from Colchester
Hope he is on the mend.

Anyone think it's in a little poor taste for the BBC to have a picture on their website of what is presumably the collision that caused Bender's injury?
