    Carspotting

Just finished reading Sandy Macnair's Carspotting and thought it worth saying a few words about it on here.

Sandy is a lifelong Hibby and close friend of Irvine Welsh with Carspotting offering up umpteen tales of the mischief the pair of them got up too. Well worth a read and well worth remembering that amongst his many other talents Sandy was responsible for writing both Grumpy Gibby the North Stand Hibby and Hibbie Hippie for the excellent Mass Hibsteria/Hibs Monthly fanzine. If you enjoyed the 'Zine you'll enjoy this book

Did the Hibee Hippie first appear in the long forgotten glasgow gossip?

Somewhere, in the bottom of some cardboard box gathering dust in the garage, I should have copies of both "Buile and Guile in the Emerald Isle" and "Storm the gates of Hampden". Both were a very good read. Can't imagine "Carspotting" getting an Australian release, but I'll keep my fingers crossed.
