I have heard the same. Taxman isn't very happy with our friends over the city...
This isn't for a small amount of money either.
Lets wait and see what the papers pick up on....

There is an ongoing legal battle between Hmrc and the Huns for a while to do with how they have been paid monies to players via an Employee Benefit Trust, the sums talked About are around 50 million.
As for our city neighbours hmrc have been interested in their act irked for a while, however they are not alone.
All Epl, some championship and sple teams have hmrc's attention.Last edited by soda70; 10-08-2011 at 09:09 AM.

I vote this as the most useless thread in the history of hibs.net.
Taxman paid a visit to whom? Why? When? Source? etc, etc, etc....

I heard HMRC are looking for £500,000 from Mr Vlad
I was told it was not paid on time but won't be a problem. Hearts will make around £750,000 from Spurs visit therefore it will turn out to be another non story.

Thank you for filling in the blanks, speculative though that is. I'm sure it's not true, however, that Hearts can possibly be operating in such a hand-to-mouth manner. Unless that's normal for big clubs.

But there will be 20% vat due on the £750,000, thats another £150 K they will be due, then there is the police costs and stewarding costs , and I nearly forgot , the win bonuses to be taken into account.

Huns accept £2.8M liability due but are contesting £1.4M (50%) penalty on top.
HMRC will tell them to get knotted.

I'm sorry, but I don't believe a word of this. It may be back page news in the Sun, Mirror, et al, but I just checked the DR website and they haven't even mentioned it.
I'm sure we could rely on a negative story about Rangers to be reported in such an un-biased paper as the Record

[QUOTE=keekaboo;2882860]I vote this as the most useless thread in the history of hibs.net.
Maybe it's The Iceman Cometh altogether more interesting sounding:-
The Iceman Cometh is set in Harry Hope's decidedly downmarket Greenwich Village saloon and rooming house, in 1912. The patrons, who are all men except for three women who are prostitutes, are all dead-end alcoholics who spend every possible moment seeking oblivion in each others' company and trying to con or wheedle free drinks from Harry and the bartenders
Wait a minute, maybe this is about the Yams as well...................
