    Vale Of Leithen - Hibs U19s - tonight @ 7pm

Before traveling down tonight best to check the Club website to ensure game is on - we had torrential rain all night in the Borders and it is still chucking it down just now.

Hopefully things will clear up but if not there may be a risk that the game might be off

Fingers crossed that it clears up

0-0 ht lots of the ball and decent play with Sammy involved in most of the offensive play
One save for hibs keeper from free kick other wise nothing to do
Vale tidy in posession but not got final ball right

Not a bad game, thought the Vale were content just to sit in and hopefully hit on the brake, never happened. I thought we just shaded it ....

Can anyone tell me who No:11 for Hibs was? ... thought he looked the part ...

Sam Stanton was a stand out. Caldwell looked good when he came on 2nd half. Vale keeper had some good saves - particularly a point blank one with his face.

Got a few photos tonight but haven't sorted them yet, however here's the goal which was made by the No.9 who took the ball past the defence then played it back in to the centre.

The guy in the middle of the 3 guys in dark clothes in the crowd is John Kennedy the Celtic U19 coach who was watching Hibs with 2 other Celtic scouts

Sammy reminds me of Booth..technically good...quick and not scared to get stuck in...put in some good delivery from wide and set plays...needs agood feed though

No9...? the build of GOC and had a couple of runs bursting through several tackles...big lad and good touch...to say the keeper saved from him when in fact his error was only redeemed by him almost losing his head as he could not get out they way

Number 9 was Ross Caldwell - agree he was really strong , hard in the tackle and stays on his feet

Bit concerned that Celtic are scouting at U19 friendlies - hopefully not looking to poach our youngsters ?

Keeper surpassed the "face save" with another later where his "tackle" blocked a shot - brave man

I was impressed by the way the keeper was shouting at his team for the whole game!
