    £325k bid from Carlisle United apparently! Both Barnsley and Sheffield United roumoured to be interested, and both close to Rotherham so ALF would not have to move home (Dont know what his domestic situation is btw). Word is £500k bid to Rotherham would allow you to speak with the player.

    Anyone with too much time on their hands who watches lower league footy on the box could have told you a couple of years ago that ALF and the likes of Chris Dagnall, now at Scunny iirc, were playing at too low a level. Can't believe Chris Lines is at Bristol Rovers for example, although just read he's on trial at Palace.

    Why not put bids in for them then before others got interested?

    There's still good ones out there that would be worth a few shekels, while appreciating we can't afford anywhere near £500k, rather than some panic out of contract or loan signings?
