Appart from getting on our tits, what have the Faroe Islands done to merit being above Wales?
Not that I'm bothered, it's funny that they are.

It's annoying we've dropped to Pot 4 as there are some tidy teams in Pot 3, the Belgians are on the up again and the Swiss are nae bad themselves. however, I do have confidence is us beating anyone at Hampden.
Hopefully we can get a good draw, the thoughts of a trip to Brazil are already getting me excited

Can someone explain how the draw works? Or provide a link giving the same info?

Looking at the pots in one group we could have:
Scotland
England
Ireland
Wales
obviously there will be another team or two but that would be a good group for fans especially against england

When the draw is done for the European qualifying section for the 2014 World Cup, there will be 9 different groups.
Eight of the groups will contain six nations and one group will contain five nations.
Each of the eight groups of six will contain one nation from each pot and the one group of five will also contain one nation from each pot, with the exception of pot six, the pot containing the so called weakest teams.
After the qualification period has ended, the nine group winners will qualify automatically for Brazil 2014 and the eight best second placed sides will go into a 2 legged play off. The four winners of the play offs will also qualify for Brazil 2014, meaning that there will be 13 European nations in the World Cup in 2014.
Hope that helps.

I read that a guy from the faroes spotted the mistake in the calculation which meant they moved up and that put Wales down.
I wonder how many other teams were ranked incorrectly.

Scottish FA officials would need to seriously ask questions, as that would have been the last 3 qualification groups in a row where we were drawn into a group of 5!
I'd like to see A but will predict B:
Group A:
Germany
Slovenia
Switzerland
SCOTLAND
Finland
Luxembourg
Group B:
Netherlands
Sweden
Czech Republic
SCOTLAND
Faroe Islands

Also didn't see it mentioned but Georgia and Russia can't be drawn together because of political unrest. They'll need to borrow the ball warmer from the Old firm FA

The sad truth is that it doesn't matter a jot. If we could only play teams from lowest seeded pot we still wouldn't qualify.
Our natural lack of talent at football, compounded by poor decision making from that Jambo clown would see to that.
