Hearts' Spanish winger Suso Santana has informed the club that would like to leave to be closer to his family in Tenerife. However, he will not be allowed to depart without a transfer fee as his contract still has 12 months remaining. He said: "It's not for sporting reasons I want to return, it's family reasons. I've told the coach and he has accepted it. I've adapted but my family hasn't."

If he wants to head back to the Canaries, his only option would be to sign for Las Palmas as CD Tenerife are all but out of business and in Segunda B. There is no way that he could play for a club that are on the verge of going under.....
