    Shteeve McLaren to Nottingham Forest

How can anyone take him seriously after 'that' interview'.

A very good manager with a good amount of experience. Forest have done well to get him as he would have been a good appointment for Villa/Fulham

Cracking manager. Winning a cup with the boro and reaching uefa cup final was some achievement. Did well at FC twente too so should have Forrest at least in playoffs.

Any idea how he is getting on appointing Calderwood as his number 2?

Don't worry, he'll have a proper nottingham accent soon. He'll be unrecognisable.

League cup winner and Uefa cup finalist with Boro, League title with FC Twente for the first time in their history, poor first half to the season with Wolfsberg but the board sold their best player from under him.

The english media like to scoff at him after his England shambles but they and the players should carry the can for a large whack of what went on their.

He's a good manager, seems a decent guy and hopefully he can take Forrest back to the top flight where they belong.

If Wallace from Wallace & Gromit wasn't made of plastercene, he would be Shteeve McLaren.

Remember watching the game when Twente won the league.

When their first goal went in, was wild celebrations. When the second goal went in, the camera panned onto the fans and to a man, all of them were crying bucketloads. Winning something meant everything. Great scenes and for providing that moment forever to those guys, good luck to him at Forest.

He looks like a man who knows he's going to get his end away in the evening.

That accent he developed in that interview reminds me of myself when I'm "interviewing" myself out loud whilst playing Football Manager. My mother used to think I was watching German porn when I managed in the Bundesliga

Yeah, the original interview is a complete hoot! However I was talking about the one he gave today to sky about managing Forest. Seemed if he still had a dutch "twang"

Forest put a clause in his contract - all interviews will be conducted in a dutch accent or he's out.
