Hibs v Killie - Easter Road, September 2005 - arrived at half time with us 0-2 down due to a flight delay. Had to fight tooth and nail with the stewards to get in despite the fact I am a season ticket holder. Won 4-2 so well worth it!

Another ridiculous tale from about January 2008/09. Had wangled a £20 return weekend flight to Madrid - out Saturday back Sunday - which clashed with Hibs v Gretna at Easter Road. The weather wasn't great and I started to think that rather than travel all that way for effectively Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning I should go to the Hibs game instead.

It was only when I was walking up to Easter Road that I found out the game had been cancelled...doh!

Hibs-Clyde Scottish Cup mid-90s. Due to dad fannying about and no bank machines near the ground, got in just before half time. Either McAllister/O'Neill scores on the hour, we head home with a few minutes left thinking home and dry at 1-0. Unbeknown to us, from the walk from car to ground Clyde had scored which meant the other one of McAllister/O'Neill's goal in the last minute was actually the winner.

Like a few others I was late for the 1991 League Cup semi. I got to the top of the terrace just as Keith Keith Keith scores. One of the most mental celebrations ever, total beldlam.

Another story was the 1984 League Cup semi 2nd leg. My first ever visit to Ibrox and I was blown away. Got in just in time for kick off but the stand was empty. I thought we must have sold hardly any tickets but it turned out there were huge traffic jams on the M8. By half time the entire stand was bursting at the seems and bouncing. Great goal from Davie Cooper wasn't enough to turn around the 2 goal lead. Brilliant night!
yeah that was an amazing night, my first trip to Ibrox and the place was bouncing, think we must have been whistling for the final whistle with 30 mins to go

Hanging out the bus door at 70mph to empty the pish container was a life-skill learnt.

Defending the 4 hun guests in a Celtic boozer in deepest darkest Lanarkshire was memorable.

Going for 50 fish suppers in Ibrox after playing St. Mirren fair put the hair on your chest too.
we eventually got buses with loos. boozer was peter grants in coatbridge, his mrs steamed in for us anaw that day. was only 40 fish suppers, rest were hamburger ones, well it felt like hamburger hill.

Several latenesses due to crowd size.

The most memorable being Hearts at Tynecastle, when I got in a few minutes late, just in time to see our third goal.

0-4 after about ten minutes and stayed that way.

I drove from York to Tannadice in the early 80's. I had dropped my wife off at home and got to the Forth Road Bridge as the game kicked off.

I hammered up the road and managed to find a space near the ground and got in at half time.

    Hibs were already 5 - 0 down.

    The game finished 5 - 0.

I was coming through the turnstyle when Cooper scored. Last eleven miles to get to the ground were a nightmare. My "Austin Allegro" broke down on the way home and the cops gave me a push start.

Another visit to Greyskull I travelled in a car load of huns in the early eighties and they went to their "regular" stop so i went as well, complete with Hibs scarf. The "regular" stop was Shotts Orange Lodge.
Being young hicks from the sticks they didnt really think much about it and were unaware at that time that Hibs were also "fenians". They thought it was another name for Celtic. The joy of being brought up in rural Borders.

Oh the fun I had that day!!

SC game at ER v the Pars .. would have been late 70's .. got in 25 mins late. Pars were 1 up after my dad's car's radiator blew at Crammond. Finished 1-1 and we did them 1-2 in the replay!

Was also late (HT - due to work) for a classic 0-0 (it was the Lexo years) SC tie at Central Perk, Cowdengelly - again we won the replay!

Think there's a moral in there somewhere ..
Was that not most of the games when Lexo was in charge?

Dnipro away after drinking something dodgy in the town square I pretty much passed out on the bus.

Mates got me into the game but missed it all and woke up just as the players were coming over to the fans at the end of the game.

Randomly Fred Flintstone was wandering about behind the goals that added to my confusion.
You must have been in a bad way it was Homer Simpson wandering about.

There has been a few. Killie away, 91 cup winning run. I was driving due to being off work with a broken ankle. Picked up all the guys 2 of whom worked at Alloa Brewery and couldn't get away early. Spike Mandella being one of them. Anyway after thrashing the living daylights out of my brothers Opal Manta all the way down we were still running late. Had to park miles from the ground and by the time I eventually made it into the terracing we were 0-1 down! On the way back on the motorway we had the pleasure of listening to Airdrie beat Celtic on penalties. The rest is history thankfully.

Motherwell away a number of years ago as well. Pub we were in was doing a deal on spirits so me and Spike Mandella, not his real name by the way, and Mattie decided to take advantage. Got into the game late and stood by the corner flag. Davie Cooper came over to take a corner at one point and mouthed the words "Fenian *******s" at us. It's the only thing I can remember from the game!

I was at that game. It was before segregation and remember all the h**** fans asking the score when they finally got through the turnstiles. I was delighted to tell them it was 4-0 for the Hibs and laughed as they made a beeline for the exits

I got to Aberdeen in plent of time to see Hibs play in the early '60s. Just before kick off I decided to go to the toilet. Coming out the toilets, I was lifted by the scruff of the neck and frogmarched trackside by a policenan calling me all the perverts under the sun for using the Ladies. When passing the Hibs support, I pleaded with them to tell him that I was a lady but they were all bent double laughing at my predicament.I got thrown out the ground and having no spare cash had to wait until they opened the doors at half time.

Dunno about that - I'm sure there was a game in paisley where the bus didn't leave haymarket until the back of 2.
