It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the death of our beloved son, Liam Daniel Munro(19). Liam passed away peacefully this morning. You all gave him such tremendous support when he was very ill back in 2007 and we are truly thankful to you all for that. It lifted his spirits and helped him so much. We will never forget the day he took out the team on to the pitch at Easter Road, the welcome was humbling. We also pay tribute to the board who have been fantastic to Liam and the whole family. God Bless You All

So sorry to hear your sad news. I was thinking about Liam on Sunday while walking back to the train station, I honestly cant remember why now, but was thinking about the day he led the team onto the pitch with his grandad it was one of those moments in time I'll never forget.
God bless you all
Rest in Peace Liam

Sorry for you and your familys loss. The way Liam fought his illness was just an inspiration and although i never met him, i somehow felt connected from following his story on .net. and was truely touched by it. RIP Liam.

We all followed Liam's progress thru your great updates, and as others have said, since it had all gone quiet I assumed everything was okay and Liam was getting better.
Can't imagine what you are going through, so sad, RIP Liam and god bless you."I don't have any regrets about not moving during my playing career. I was born a Hibee, my dad was a Hibee, I will stay a Hibee and I'll die a Hibee." -Lawrie Reilly

Very sad news.
I used to look forward to the updates on here to find out about Liam's health and his love of the Hibs.
Like others, i had presumed that all was going well in the last year or so.
Best wishes to you and your family
RIP Liam Munro

Like most of the other posters I thought no news was good news and Liam and you all were getting on with "normality"
Any words I have are totally inadequate.
RIP Liam and my best wishes to you all.

Very proud to support Hibs the day he met the teams at Easter Road, Hibs treated him superbly and he was a credit to his family. Well done to Craig Brewster too.
Hope he rests in peace and your family take comfort from the respect shown here
