    Pre-split points prediction

Had a look at the fixtures before the split and it confirms what many already think, it is going to be very very difficult to make the top six. Our only hope is for a lot of draws by Utd and Well, plus us winning most games. I have assumed that Killie are too far ahead to be caught.

    Motherwell 37 points plus 6 = 43
    Saturday, 5 March Inverness CT (A) 1
    Saturday, 19 March Kilmarnock (A) 1
    Saturday, 2 April Aberdeen (H) 3
    Wednesday, 6 April Dundee Utd (H) 1
    Saturday, 9 April Hearts (A) 0

    United 34 points plus 10 = 44
    Monday, 7 March Aberdeen (H) 3
    Thursday, 10 March Hamilton (H) 3
    Wednesday, 16 March Hearts (H) 1
    Saturday, 19 March ICT (H) 1
    Saturday, 2 April Rangers (A) 0
    Wednesday, 6 April Motherwell (A) 1
    Saturday, 9 April St Johnstone (H) 1

    ICT 33 points plus 2 = 35
    Saturday, 5 March Motherwell (H) 1
    Saturday, 19 March Dundee Utd (A) 1
    Saturday, 2 April Celtic (H) 0
    Saturday, 9 April Kilmarnock (A) 0
    Saturday, 16 April Hearts (A) 0

    Aberdeen 31 points plus 1 = 32
    Monday, 7 March Dundee Utd (A) 0
    Saturday, 20 March (Postponed) Rangers (H) 0
    Saturday, 2 April Motherwell (A) 0
    Wednesday, 6 April St Mirren (A) 1
    Saturday, 9 April Hibernian (H) 0

    Hibs 31 points plus 10 = 41
    Saturday, 5 March St Johnstone (A) 3
    Wednesday, 16 March Celtic (A) 0
    Sunday, 3 April Hearts (H) 1
    Saturday, 9 April Aberdeen (A) 3
    Sunday, 17 April Hamilton (H) 3

    St. Johnstone 31 points plus 3 = 34
    Saturday, 5 March Hibernian (H) 0
    Saturday, 19 March Hamilton (A) 1
    Saturday, 2 April Kilmarnock (H) 1
    Saturday, 9 April Dundee Utd (A) 1
    Saturday, 16 April Celtic (H) 0

United have 8 games to play before the split.
    You have one missing.

Ah well we will be well clear of relegation after split so we can use the 5 games to field youngsters and plan for next year.

St Johnstone also have one extra game still to be scheduled (also at home to Rangers).

Since this is Hibs we are talking about, who is to say we don't get to 9 and blow it against Hamilton?

Anyway, it's nice to be on a run so lets hope the bubble doesn't burst anytime soon.

What's interesting is that all the last games pre-split don't take place on the same day? Surprised that SPL rules allow this!
We may have something to play for or not against Hamilton. Sky probably took this game initially as a relegation decider.

i think your being a bit to generous to motherwell.

id be amazed if they managed another 10 points.

doubt they'll get anything from rugby park and will be lucky to get all 3 points against aberdeen. (IMO )

If we want to get into the top six we may well have to hammer everyone except Celtic, especially the Yams who have a habit of kicking us down when we're flying high. Here's hoping.

Remember the Celtic game takes place days before the league cup final, with the rivalry with Rangers around as high as i can remember, that makes Celtic Hibs a very awkward game for them!
