Only the trains going to Gourock and Greenock stop at St James Station. They are about once every 30 minutes and take 15 mins to get there from Glasgow Central. However, there's nothing around St James worth going to apart from the stadium so if you're early get off at Gilmour Street and have a beer somewhere first!

Train into Queen St, walk over to Central and train to Gilmour St.
You will still be able to just buy a return from Edi to Paisley Gilmour St.
Wouldn't get train from Edi to Central as it takes forever, much quicker going Queen St and walking over.

Trains replaced by Buses.
Importart for all who are travelling to Paisley by train on Sunday. There are NO trains between Glasgow Central and Paisley St James (thats the station outside the ground) They are replaced by buses due to engineering works according to the Scotrail website.
Best thing to do is get a train to Paisley Gilmour Street and taxi to the ground. Or go to the nearest pub.

you also have the new route via bathgate to Queens street (helensburgh service). it does take roughly 25 mins longer but its something to keep in mind if you miss the express service
