    Kolbeinn Sigthorsson (AZ Alkmaar)

    Hi there,

I am from Iceland and was wondering if you can shed a light on a story which is in one of the morning papers over here, regarding 20 yr old striker Kolbeinn Sigthorsson at AZ.

In one story it is said that Hibernian, Bolton and Reading all made enquiries about the player yesterday.

He has one year left of his contract and would therefor not cost that much because of that and wants a move to Britain so maybe in the summer :)

Also you have a decent player in Victor Palsson and I hope he will do very well at Hibs.

Yes Sigthorsson is the main striker for the U-21 Iceland team, he has also 5 full international caps and scored 3 goals in them. I think he would do well in Scotland.

By the sounds of him, I wish we had got him

Unfortunately, if Bolton and Reading were looking at him also, We'll not get him as both would offer much more in wages.

Sounds like a great player though

Iceman I thought the main striker was the guy who scored both goals in the recet game v Scotland and plays in Germany and cost £7m or so. Is it Wolfsburg or Werder Bremen ?

That is Gylfi Sigurdsson, he mainly plays as an attacking midfielder behind the striker. He joined Hoffenheim from Reading.

Awesome player, has already scored 7 goals in 15 matches for Hoffenheim.

Yes certainly looks a talent his two goals v Scotland were fabulous finishes. I think Iceland will do well in the u21 tournament given a reasonable draw.
