To paraphrase Mr. John F. Kennedy...
In the long history of Hibernian, only a few have been granted the role of defending its existence in its hour of maximum danger. We do not shank from this responsibility - we welcome and embrace it. I do not believe that any of us would exchange places with the supporters of any other club for Hibernian defines us and is part of our very essence. The energy, the faith, the devotion which we bring to this endeavour will light our club and all who wear its colours -- and the glow from that fire can truly light not only our lives, but that of future Hibernians in generations to come.
And so, my fellow Hibernians: ask not what your club can do for you - ask what you can do for your club.
So what's it to be then folks - are you going to turn your back on your club in its hour of need, and run it down at every opportunity? Or are you going to back it with everything that you've got because your life would that bit emptier without it?
We are in dark times, and it's decision time folks.

The supporters have and will continue to do their bit.
It's time it was reciprocated.

I know where Smurf is coming from (and I agree with many things he says) We as fans can argue all day about why things have gone wrong - has been happening over the last few months on here.
It's not easy - usually easier to support something you believe in.
But if we are to move on - the support and club have to pull together.
People at the club who are getting paid to do a job must start to do their part though

According to others, the singing and chanting has never been louder or more sustained than this season and yet the football has been probably the worst ever seen from a Hibs team. The fans are still turning up in deceny numbers given the utter dross being displayed on the pitch. As said by smurf above, it's time for the staff at Hibs, board, manager and players to do their bit. We are waiting..........

"We shall not flag or fail. We shall go on to the end. We shall fight in Hamilton, but only if it does not rain, we shall fight on the sand at Tannadice and the grass at St. Mirren, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our SPL status, whatever the cost may be. We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender."

Indeed HAD the club (Board and Manager) prepared with the obvious urgency required before the window opened we just may have more points on the board and still be in the Scottish Cup.
That's NOT an opinion "Running down the club" its one from a frustrated supporter who like us all loves the club and is frustrated and disappointed, that the club appears not to be prepared, to take the required action, namely of taking the hit by getting many out and in.

To answer your question I am not going to back Hibs with everything I've got because all that would do is pay one of our players for a week or two and to be honest I don't think that would be a good use of "everything I've got".
I'll still support Hibs if and when I can but I can't afford £30 a game and I certainly can't justify spending £30 every second week on something that I don't enjoy. I'm sure there are many others are in the same boat.

The OP makes a fair point- the fans are always claiming they ARE the football club. Well I guess the club is only as good as it's fans in a lot of ways.

Maybe ask the players etc about what they can do for club and not what it can do for you. They have the biggest influence.
