Whats been your most rememered Hibs game for pure excitement - not the 6-2 or 0-7 but the most exciting - Barcelona (cup game)? pretty good Willie Wilson against St Mirren when he was injured, Cormack went in goals and the Willie went on the wing? great when Peter saved a brill shot!
For me it was Dunfermline v Hibs, typical Hibs went 5-2 up, Dunfermile leveled to 5-5 then Jim Scott scored in the last minute 5-6 to Hibs.
Ah well anything to take us away from our current depressions, I see the hibs shop started selling Prozac!
To all travelling fans tonight lets be heard, as we go matching on !

What was your most exciting Hibs game!

It has to be the Athens game.
The atmosphere was the best ever in my time going to ER. 'Sunshine on Leith' at half-time will always live with me. I think it inspired the players for the 2nd half.
If only Paco could've scored the header at the end!!

Tynecastle 1968 Scottish League Cup semi-final against Dundee - Alan McGraw's late winner to clinch us a cup final place - he'd gone off injured and returned with his leg bandaged up (no substitutes allowed in those days) - he showed some real fighting spirit, something currently missing from our team....

Barcelona 3 - 2
Real Madrid 2 - 0
Napoli 5 - 0
Hearts 3 - 0 (Tynecastle - Sauzee et al)
Rangers 3 - 0 (Scottish Cup at Ibrox)
Throw in the two League Cup wins
Lots more!!!
Wish I had kept the programmes!

Midweek 4-4 league cup game against Celtic in the mid eighties. 3-3 after 90 minutes and then we won on penalties. Superb match. These were the days of Gordon Durie and Stevie Cowan up front
I'm sure we beat Celtic 4-3 later that season in the SC? Last minute goal from Eddie May? Another great day!

Me too, I sat in the Dunbar end above the clowns singing 'OSAMA BIN LADEN'
Then the nutter ran on to the park all the way from the east stand to challenge them to a fight, the atmosphere was the most hostile, but most enjoyable I have ever witnessed.
Pity about that Header

Hibs v Rangers, the Souness debut 1986.......atmosphere literally crackling, place was a mix of cheering, jeering, hatred and excitement. Beautiful hot day, the East was rammed full, the tackles were fierce, there were goals, the ref lost the plot and Hibs won, and he was sent off in disgrace.......just a fantastic game to watch unfold for a whole host of reasons.

Not on the same level as some of the others mentioned but the Aberdeen game at Easter Road under Mowbray when we won 2-1 (think it was Boxing day or in between Christmas and New Year anyway). Great goal by Glass to win it and the place was bouncing.

my two favourite games were under Collins:
3-2 against celtic with boruc making an arse of it and thierry scoring a screamer
Cup replay at easter road in the evening against Aberdeen, think we won it 4-2 with Benji coming on to score two. Mike stewart scored with his shin direct from a corner too!!

Hibs vs Rangers at Hampden in the CIS semi-final (we won't mention the final).
Stephen Dobbie
Colin Murdock
Frank de Boer
But most of all, Daniel Andersson

In terms of sheer excitement, you can't do much better than a last minute derby goal so the O'Connor ten-men game has to be up there and the John O'Neill equaliser at Tynie (You'll never beat Sauzee) as well. I think what made them both so special is that we were underdogs in both situations for whatever reason, which made the celebrations all the better!

ATHENS GAME @ ER IS No 1
CIS CUP FINAL vs Killie is No 2
and believe it or not - the last game of the season vs Rangers in 2005 is No3 - when they won the league and we just secured 3rd and it also depended on results from the other games!!

I had forgotten about that Hampden semi against Rangers!
Great night. Even got on the telly, there were only 6000 Hibbies there, and we were rattling about a bit in the main stand.
Right up there in the excitement stakes.

Have very fond memories of the 1-0 against the Huns at ER in the 00/01 season where Zitelli scored.
I think that result really made people sit up and notice what a team we actually had.
Shame we had our usual post Christmas slump as that was a special team that could have really challenged.
