    Sone Aluko...

Would folk be happy to have him at ER, is he Hibs class?

He's out of contract at the end of the season and he could inject a much needed bit of pace/flair!

He was recently criticised by Mr McGoo for doing **** all in the 9-0 gubbing by smelltic although, McGoo later admitted that the laddy had only been out off plaster for 3 days for an achilles injury and was then flung into that match out of sheer desperation!

Just wondering peoples thoughts on the lad he's only 21, maybe CC could get the best out of him?

I know its Aluko but I can't delete the "L" at the end of his name in the thread title for some reason!

Looks like a decent prospect, fair bit of pace about him. Got a funny feeling he will be away to the Championship though.

Certainley wouldn't be complaining if we managed to sign him although, like Griffths, I'd imagine that he'll be away somewhere bigger and better than the SPL once his contract expires.

No bad wee player. No sure he is what we need right now though. Never seem him as a tackler or a ball winner and that is what we need first.

Yep would definitely take him at Hibs. It feels like a long time since we had someone who was at least exciting to watch - or even a winger for that matter.

Hughes made an enquiry to Aberdeen about one of either Aluko or Maguire in summer. Posted it in the summer but no one seemed to be able to confirm. Info came from a coach at EM. Good player but like our Ivan, tad inconsistent. Dons fans love him but get infuriated at his greedy nature at times.

I don't want Aluko, he's just another average player. We have enough of them just now (McBride/Rankin/Nish/Hart) and its no doing us any good.

Would take him any day, a bit of pace, can score goals and is a winger.

I would take him. He is better than any attacking options in our team if you take out Riordan. Still a young guy aswell. He has pace and likes to run at players. He is the best out of a bad bunch at Aberdeen and with the right coaching could become a top player.

I'd take Aluko, but in reality he'll probably head off down South or to Glasgow when his AFC contract is up. Same as usual for any player who's proven his SPL quality outside the OF.

It is the sort of player I would have at ER. Will Aberdeen renew his contract?

Not as good a player as his sister though.

    Scott..

Would he be a better option than Rankin or Stevenson?!

    Yes, yes he would!

He'd be a vast improvement on what we have at the moment so that'd do for me

Well, not loads of goals, but can score them.

8 goals in 79 games for Aberdeen may seem poor, but for instance Sproule only had 12 goals in 71 games for us. Not saying he is a goal machine, but would be a threat for other teams

missed a 1 on 1 last weekend by a long way. To be fair I don't think any of our team would have been quick enough to get the shot.

He's hot and cold. No chance he's good enough to go to the OF. I'd take him but I don't think he's that much better than Rankin or Stevenson, just different.

The ball bobbled up massively just as he was striking it..
