    Bobby Johnstone

I notice that Bobby Johnstone has been voted into the SFA hall of fame, become the final member of the Famous Five to be voted in.

Could not see anything on the official site but nice tribute in the Man City website.

City hold him close to their hearts. I only visited Maine Road once but enjoyed a half time lager at the Bobby Johnstone snack bar.

Thanks for the info Stoney Hibee. I hope Hibs mark this occasion in some way in the near future. Nice tribute to Bobby by the City President, Bernard Halford. Next time in the borders I intend visiting Bobby's grave (I'm assuming he was laid to rest in his home town of Selkirk).

    What fine words spoken.

Would hope Hibernian may say something similar for a Hibernian legend.

    I'm sure we will.

Bobby wasn't just a vital member of the greatest Scottish forward line of all time, he also was part of the team graced by Joe Baker and his partnership with Joe was a joy to behold.

BTW - City fans may call him 'Bobby dazzler' - at ER he was 'Nicker'.

I was fortunate enough to see Bobby when he returned to Hibs. He was a few pounds heavier, ok, many pounds heavier & his legs had gone but he was still wonderful. He supplied the ammo & the great Joe Baker scored the goals, 42 that season I believe. A 6-1 win v Airdrie sticks in my mind, Joe scored 4 & I think Bobby got at least 1. Bobby was first & I think until recently the only person to score in successive FA cup finals.
A great tribute to a great player!
