Team for the St.Johnstone vs Hibs match

Yogi must know that if he doesn't get points on the board soon and doesn't get his & team's act together then he will be getting a Taxi some time soon.

    I'd start :

    Brown - GK

    Hart - RB
    Grounds - LB
    Dickoh - CB
    Bamba - CB

    McBride - RCM
    DeGraaf - CM
    Miller - LCM

    Galbraith - LCF
    Nish/Trakys - CF
    Riordan - RCF

    Subs :

    Smith
    Hanlon
    Murray
    Wotherspoon
    Stevenson
    Rankin
    Nish/Trakys

Although.......... Yogi will probably start :

    Brown - GK

    Hart - RB
    Grounds - LB
    Dickoh - CB
    Bamba - CB

    Wotherspoon - RCM/RM
    McBride - CM
    DeGraaf - CM
    Miller - LCM/LM

    Rankin - AM

    Riordan - CF

    Subs :

    Smith
    Thicot
    Murray
    Stevenson
    Galbraith
    Nish
    Trakys

But lets not talk about the negatives and get at them right from the Kick Off !
We matched Celtic on Saturday and were beat unluckily...... GGTTH !

I'm going to suggest the unthinkable; that we stick Miller on the bench due to his indifferent performances of late.

Move Bamba into midfield to counter the physically robust St. Johnstone midfield.

After his good performance at Parkhead, give Hanlon another shot at CB alongside Dickoh.

Talking about team selections and whether we'll beat the Saints on Saturday is no more than discussing how we'd like the deckchairs arranged on the boat-deck of the Titanic.

We're sinking fast, and we need to punt the captain. NOW.

This would work spectacularly in Football Manager 2010. Except Rankin for Miller...

You are right that is unthinkable! Exactly which one of your players is going to pass the ball forward?

IMO If anyone from Saturdays team drops out, it is Wotherspoon for Nish. If we are changing to Bamba back in the team then I would (and I cant believe I am going to actually recommend putting him in midfield) take out McBride.

Would be tempted to give the below a try.

    Brown

    Hart / Dickoh / Hanlon / Grounds

    Galbraith / Bamba / Miller / Rankin

    Nish / Riordan

Bamba doesn't deserve to play if the rumours are correct, but he will.. and Hanlon at the back vs St J gives me nightmares so i have gone with Hogg alongside big Franny.

This is a must win game for yogi and the boys. If no win, then i'm sorry but it's the ideal time to say our farewells with the international break, ideal time to get someone else in.

I hope it doesn't come to that ! But this run has to come to an end before we play the ****

This game will decide a great deal of what happens in the next few months at our club.
Sorry did not see this thread I started another silly billy

We got gubbed in this fixture last season can we turn it around?

    Can Yogi get tactics right?

Will the players be up for the fight, before St Johnstone lets us play?

Do the Players want to play for Yogi?

Will Hibs fans turn out in numbers?

Lots of questions do Hibs have the answers?

I am gonig for a 3 - 1 defeat hope am wrong but I see big changes at ER Soon.

Agreed mate the above team is minging.

If you are bringing Bamba in you have to take McBride out and keep miller, otherwise we have a packed midfield with boys who cant pass the ball.

In fact it would be easier to put in my own team rather than comment on the above.

Brown - No Reason not to be in.

    Hart - As per above
Dickho - Good first game, did well considering his first outing in the weeg
Hanlon - I think he did okay at the weekend
Grounds - Bit of height for defending set pieces and Murray not available

Bamba - Because its worth a try
Miller - Our best passing player by a distance
Rankin - Did well at the weekend
Galbraith - Think he would be better as part of a midfield 5, less defending
    Riordan -Just because

Nish - Something with a bit of height up front.

Just my thoughts, but reasonable height in the team for defending, and god forbid we score from a set piece. Dont think this we be the sort of game that is played on the ground, likely to be the grass in the sky.

Win ugly, lets get it done.

    Brown

    Hart / Bamba / Dickoh / Grounds

    Wotherspoon / Miller / McBride / Galbraith

    Riordan / Trakys

If we need to defend a lead then I would change to a 4-5-1 later on in the game with Riordan playing just behind the front man and less attacking players in the wide areas..

    Brown

    Hart / Bamba / Dickoh / Grounds

De Graffe / Miller / McBride / Rankin

    Riordan

    Trakys

It is easy to put the best tea of ability out there but we still need tactics, a formation and width, anyway this would be the team i put out:

    Brown - GK
    Hart - RB
    Bamba - CB
    Hanlon - CB
    Grounds - LB
    Wotherspoon - RM
    Miller - CM
    McBride - CM
    Galbraith - LM
    Riordan - ST
Nish - ST (Only until Duffy get's back)
