I used to play pokerstars but some bad beats are unreal. The worst I've ever seen was my uncle get p kings. Two kings came on the flop with another card. He checks to get some extra out them, an ace came and the player went all in after the turn. Another ace came on the river. The other boy had p aces. That was in A heads up game. I thought my uncle was going to cause mass murder. Lol

I lost with a straight flush on party poker one time. Heads up also. I would've joined your uncle in mass murder that particular time!
Downloaded full tilt last night, its quite good. Will have a few games to get my mind back in the game then will put some cash in.
Anyone ever play at the casino?

I used to play online all the time but mostly just piss around. If I was staying in on a Friday I'd stick $10 or so in (which was around 5/6 quid at the time). Play a couple of 5.50 heads ups, usually win those ones and then hit the cash tables with $20 or so and try and get a big all in pot. Not a recommended technique I might add but it was fun, especially when it came off! The most I've ever withdrawn was around £150.
I totalled up all my transactions in and out when I stopped playing and through complete coincidence I was around 70p down over all from around £300 I'd put in.
This talk has got me interested again so I think I'll have a game tonight.
I've not played in the casino before but that's due to my lack of confidence to play at the table. I've found that casino staff and regulars sort of look at you as some kind of alien if you don't place a correct bet or don't know what you're doing.

I have only ever played it for no money, and quite enjoy it, but find it hard to get any real practice since i end up in games with people just putting in stupid bets because its not real money. Been in vegas twice and wanted to try it but was far too intimidated by it all and just shat it and didnt bother.
None of my friends play it so cant get any proper real life people practice!

I play pokerstars. People moaning about bad beats on this site - this has nothing to do with the website. It is poker and happens everywhere. Pkr is good for a bit of fun but the hand per hour ratio is rubbish.

My comment might not be valid though as I lost £9 earlier in tournaments.

They do it all the time though and seem to come off a hell of a lot, a lot more than watching real games.

True, but if you don't have the cash to play decent players and consider yourself an average player then you get stuck with all the idiots on the low tables. I've been telling myself for a while that I'd enter the Sunday millions but never had the spare cash. Anyone played and got anywhere?

I'm on pokerstars but not been on it for ages! Need to check it out 2nite and see if i've got any cash in the account. Been in vegas once and won a tourney in 1 of the casino's on my last night. The buzz of just playing in vegas was quality. Agree with woody about regulars in the casino as i've been a couple of times and it does seem cliquey but the way I look at it, you've paid your money to enter the tourney so you're entitled to play the way you want to, if you wanna play 7 2 off then do it, don't let them bully you into playing the way they want you to

I played today, won a $2.20 satellite that returned $11 dollars (can't play the tourney tonight so collected the dollars). Beat a guy in a $10 heads up as well so doubled my money for today after playing on the cash tables and a couple of tourney's.

I went on to play a tournament..and lost because I kept getting disconnected, which by the way is the reason I've not been on it in ages, so I'm really pissed off and I've sent them a bitchy email essentially saying hurry up with the refund because I want in 10 minutes ago I only left money in there because it's more convenient for when I fancy the odd game but it's getting deleted as soon as I withdraw my money(inc. refund)! for Partypoker
Edit: Just went to the cashout bit to see if it had processed the refund and saw this:
"Cashouts Blocked
Cashouts are not allowed for this account category. Please contact our customer service. "
The worst thing is that my card has changed since putting money into the account as well, more hassle coming.
Edit 2: I had to phone customer services and activate my account. It still wouldn't let me withdraw because I had a new card so I phoned up again and they said I had to make a deposit then withdraw money...and there is a $2.50 withdrawal fee.
I am never using this site again.

I just won a double or nothing $1 tournament, can't wait to spend those winnings! When they say double or nothing you get $2 for winning but pay a 0.15c rake so you get 85% of your original stake back.

So what is your profit/loss?
Mine. Only really played a handful of MTT's as you can see but played a fair few Sit n Go's.
Decided though with my recent run of form I am giving it a break for the moment and start back up again in January.
