With Gronk out I think the Jets have a chance of keeping this game within 2 or 3 scores. ;-)

I'm never confident of us going into the Meadowlands and as poor as the Jessies have looked this year, I'm not confident tonight either.

Also not 100% sure I'll be awake come KO

I'm confident about winning every game. The way I see it, if we can't beat the Jets on the road then what chance do we have against Houston in the playoffs? I don't mean to sound like we are going to win the SB but that's the goal almost every year and that's where I set my sights.

I'd like to see a Lions, Redskins and Patriots win...

Which probably means it will be a Houston, Dallas and Jessie treble

We struggled on the road against Seattle, Baltimore and Arizona - that's already cause for worry if we manage to get into the playoffs (which I think we will).

Games against this lot are akin to the "derby" in football. Form really does go out the window and they nearly managed to upset us in Foxborough.

Homefield advantage, hatred and nothing to lose - the Jessies will be a different team tonight to the one which has rolled over the past couple of months.

I just went for my picks based on whats the best outcomes for the Saints playoff chances.

In the final game i was just picking jets as they are green and white and the patriots have england in their name. Childish i know.

Turkey roast for the wife and I with a bottle of red, followed by her homemade pumpkin pie and back to back football.
    Red wine with Turkey?!

Hoping for an winner tonight, The Gronk is a massive blow but he isnt the sole reason we are where we are. If Brady is on his game tonight then it is ours.

Good call by TSSF in my opinion. Turkey especially with all those berry flavours of a tgiving dinner, is quite a strong flavour so it can be paired nicely with a soft red (Napa Valley Pinot Noir would be an inspired choice)

    Texans, Redskins, Patriots for me.

I have always followed the White = White Red = Red pairing philosophy myself. But then again, I am a lager man at heart!

Ever tried anything from the Anchor Brewery in San Francisco? They make some lovely beers which are quite similar to Sierra Nevada

I've discovered a few decent American beers lately - I used to think that the likes of Budweiser, Miller, Coors etc were indicative of the quality of beer in America but there are some really nice ones out there! Brooklyn is my personal favourite right now and our local bar have it on tap!

I generally have red wine with turkey - more of a Christmas tradition but no work tomorrow, so a wee luxury! 2006 Bordeaux tonight and it's lovely!

BMC (Bud, Miller, Coors) probably make up 99% of beer sales but there are hundreds to choose from. Literally. And now I make my own. :-)

I'll take more Lions' TDs if we get to see the Detroit fan in the yellow top dancing again

Level again but Detroit storming down towards the Texans end zone again.

Been a very quick first half!

Wow. What a huge mistake by the officials in the Lions game.

TD Texans but it should have been 3rd down around 80 yards further back up the field.

Jim Schwarz then makes a huge mistake and throws the challenge flag, thus resulting in the play not being reviewed.

Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is still one of, if not THE best beers I have ever tasted. Working for BrewDog, as I do, I have encountered quite a few Anchor tap takeovers in our bars so and quite familiar with the beers. While I like Anchor Steam, Liberty Ale is a beer I buy whenever I can. Brekle's Brown is decent and Old Foghorn is good (as far as a Barleywine goes!) Rogue and Flying Dog are another two breweries I buy whenever I can. I have quite mixed feeling on Brooklyn but still appreciate them as far superior to pretty much everything on mainstream sale.

I just got home at the start of the 4th quarter so am geared up for the rest of the night. One of our American regulars brought in some pumpkin pie. First time I have tasted it and I am mightily impressed.
