Americans love their anthem. When you go and see the Yankees play, they play it at different points in the game and the whole stadium stands up and sings it (to be fair, maybe do it at other grounds but only been to Yankee stadium in the US).

I think a lot of it is down to the pads being a lot more streamlined than they were a few years ago, particularly on the shoulders. Mahomes is heavier than Marino, Elway and Kelly but he looks far slighter.
