I was supposed to be doing 2 x NCAA games this year: Notre Dame vs Navy, then Michigan vs Ohio State the following weekend, but I'm now no longer going to the States, so I'll be going to no games at all.

Still, really looking forward to both seasons finally getting underway, even though there's still in actuality about 6 weeks still to go!
Madness, as you know, is a lot like gravity. All it takes is a little push.

Anyone watch or follow the CFL? Toronto game is on live just now. Their playing Saskatchewan or something like that. The green team have a pretty nice jersey to be fair. Currently 10-0 Toronto.

Ohio State and Michigan get together to take part in a week long ice-fishing competition. On the first day Ohio State catch 50 fish and Michigan catch none. 2nd day, Ohio State catch 100 fish and again Michigan catch none. The Michigan coach reckons there must be a spot of cheating going on so sends over someone to spy on the Ohio State camp. At the end of the day after Ohio State catch 150 fish and Michigan again catch none the spy returns. "So are they cheating" asks the Michigan coach. "They sure are" replies the spy, " they are cutting holes in the ice".

A family of Michigan wolverines fans head out to do some shopping. Once there the son picks up a Buckeyes jersey and tells his mum he's decided to become a Buckeyes fan and wants the jersey for his birthday. His mum upset at this whacks him on the head and says "go and see your father". Off he goes with the jersey, "dad I've decided I'm going to become a Buckeyes fan and want this jersey for my birthday". The father is outraged, whacks his son on the head and says "no son of mine will ever be seen wearing that". The family head home and the father says " I hope we all learned something today". The son turns around and says "yeah, I've only been a Buckeyes fan for an hour and have already realised that all Michigan fans are ".

Reading about that Martavis Bryant gadge. How do these players think they won't get caught out in this day and age baffles me likes. Even if the player is undergoing some personal problems they must know that there gonna get found out at some point which jeapordises there career and future earnings or if there a young guy straight out the draft who suddenly has a boatload of cash and thinks he's made it. Sad. The amount of players who get caught smoking blow in a car as well DOH

The Chargers 2 home pre-season games at the StubHub Center has the team listed as the San Diego Chargers. The first regular season game lists the team as the Los Angeles Chargers. I didn't notice if the Rams called themselves St Louis Rams for their pre-season games at the Coliseum before their first regular season in LA.

So since we're waiting on Gatey to move the draft along

What do you call a Packers fan with a sheep under his arm 🐑.

    A pimp 🐑.

How does a Packers fan find the sheep running about the hills and fields of Wisconsin?

    Satisfying 🐑🐑🐑.

Good to see Jay Cutler back in the NFL! He's a marmite player not to everyone's taste but I like him if you've seen his miced up YouTube clips he's actually a funny guy.

Teddy Bridgewater tweeted this: "I can sense God is about to perform another miracle in my life."

When NFL players say stuff like this do they actually believe it or are they just putting stuff like this out because they think that's what people want to hear?

    Free Picks for the Secondary!

I hate jay Cutler because I spent a fortune on a authentic players issue CUTLER #6 Broncos jersey after hearing he would be our franchise QB for years to come. Then he decides to throw all his toys out the pram and demand a trade. Spent so much on that Jersey I cant bear to throw it out. its up in the attic.

    Thanks jay.

Watching Christian McCaffery highlights. Looks a bit like a Barry Sanders type, superfast but he's very lightweight for a whole season of getting pounded by Nfl defenses.

That's my first look at the overall #2 pick Bears new QB Mitchell Trubisky. Very impressive performance against the Broncos secondary, I think he'll be around for a long time and will probably be the Bears starter.

Compared to Glennon and Sanchez, Trubisky actually has the potential to be a decent starter in Chicago, but John Fox is right - one decent pre-season game isn't going to land him the job.

Having said that, when Glennon throws a pick 6 with his first possession and does bugger all with the remainder of his time on the field, and Sanchez continues to be one of the worst QBs I've ever seen in the NFL, you have to wonder how much longer it might be before he gets his shot.

Still, it's hard to judge anything on pre-season, as most teams don't play ANY of their starters - some of the players we had out against Jacksonville last night were right at the bottom of their respective depth charts.

I think it was mostly his mechanics and his decision making that looked impressive, stuff that will be the same regardless of who he faces. I do absolutely agree that players can look good artificially in preseason though. .
