Incredible finish as the Eagles knock out the Bears! I don't like that 'icing the kicker' thing; the coach shouldn't be able to call a timeout unless the clock is actually ticking down at the time.
The reaction of the Bear mascot under the posts is brilliant.

Obviously I'm delighted that Pederson called the timeout, his first kick was good. In that situation there would have been no time to drive down the field anyway, so he may as well have used up the last timeout. There's some statistical analysis of the success rate of icing the kicker here: https://mixpanel.com/blog/2016/11/22...ng-the-kicker/ and given the kick was 45 yards or thereabouts, it gave us a 12% higher chance he would miss the kick I think.

Good stat. I love that sort of analysis.

I don't like it, but it's obviously become part of the game now and if it had got the Seahawks through their matchup with Dallas I wouldn't be complaining.

Out of the teams left, I'd like to see the Eagles win it.

Anyone but Dallas... I would love to see an Eagles v Chiefs match up as Paddy Mahomes has been brilliant all year.

The worst matchup... Pats V Dallas 🤮🤮

Gutted to see the Bears go out, but it was such close and balanced game, and really engrossing. Think it was written in the stars for that kick to hit the upright, although it seems an eagle defender got a hand on it so well done to him, terrific play.

i dont think either team made any real big mistakes (apart from arguably the final kick ), just different players from both sides coming up with good execution, on both sides of the ball.

Hopefully we’ll go again next year, good luck to the eagles for the rest of the playoffs 😊

Anyone else watching the CFP National Championship? I fancy a Clemson win in a shot out.

I'd like to see that, just to see what the viewing figures ended up looking like

But you've no fear. Our defense aren't good enough to get anywhere near the big dance this year. We MIGHT sneak by the Chargers (if we can find a way to deal with their fast rushing defensive line), but the thought of our defense against the Chiefs in Kansas City doesn't fill me with warm, fuzzy feelings.

    Chiefs vs Saints for me.

I agree, Chiefs V Saints as well... Would be a great advert for offensive football. Not something the old guard like but hey ho. Football is meant to be entertaining.

    Saw the score this morning

Can't wait to watch the game back tonight!

Love seeing Bama get horsed, the ass kissing from most pundits is just unbearable at times. I like Coach Corso et al but sometimes it's like nobody else is ever as good as Bama regardless of who they play.

It really was great. They, and Sabin, have this stupid aura like they're the best team since the world began. Now they're awesome, no doubt, but the brown nosing is
    ridiculous.

    Bit like Guardiola TBH.

That Clemson QB is a FRESHMAN! I remember him coming on for his first game (it was on TV here) and he threw a TD right away.

    A true freshman as well.

Great to see Bama getting humped, it wasn't even like they were struggling offensively, the first half interceptions killed them and the Clemson D absolutely dominated them in the red zone. It was great to see the fake field goal that Saban called fail, that was the moment I knew it was done, they were panicking. It must have hurt Alabama when Clemson removed most of their starters mid way through the 4th quarter and still managed to run the clock out for the last 5 mins.

Absolutely agree, this wasn't just a beating it was a humiliation for Bama. Before the game it felt like everyone was sure Bama would win.

They were convinced that Clemson having 3 starters out including Dexter Lawrence would be the end of them. But that D line were immense. And the fake field goal was hilarious.

Next year has the potential to be a great season. LSU and Georgia will be taking bama all the way. Texas, Penn State and Notre Dame are always good to watch. And out west I like Oregon to come good.

    Yay Football 🏈

Colts at Chiefs about to kick off, 9 inches of snow in KC.
    Eagles Saints later on.

Can't see past a Chiefs win here - absolutely no chance I'll be awake for the late game, but hoping for a Saints win!

So, so easy for the Chiefs - Mahomes with 3 zipped passes (aided by a penalty) and then Williams strolls into the End Zone.

    This could be a hammering.

Isn't it the Rams V Cowgirls later? Philly play tomorrow... I think.

Looks like the Colts 1-0 shirts are a.... 1 off.. Thank you I'll be here all week.

It was indeed. Blame Bollah - I hadn't checked the NFC schedule for this week. I only knew we were tomorrow early, meaning the Chiefs were yesterday early.

Blowout win for Kansas City and a comfortable progression for LA.

Chargers and Saints progress tonight for me, unless the snow has continued falling in New England...

It's being reported Patriots linebackers coach (and defensive playcaller) is set to be named the new Dolphins HC. Any of our resident Pats fans got any thoughts on him?
