I've been pretty disinterested all season if I'm being honest - hardly watched any games and never really got going with news/signings etc.

Might make an effort for this weekend right enough as it should be a good game and I could be doing with a bit of a mental health boost!
I haven't been feeling it much this year either but started to get a wee buzz for the SB and now looking forward to it. I will be on my own so not going over board so just some beers (although always got plenty of wine in), some pistachios and some pipas. Will actually be good to just be able to chill and talk crap online and be able to have some me time as wife and daughters will hopefully be in bed lol.

College players aren't allowed to have their names licenced are they? isn't that why it stopped in the first place?

How are they going to get around that? Fake names for the players?
The PS3 games only had their numbers. You could download something though (can't remeber what exactly) and it gave you the full rosters and everyone name. That's what I done anyways.

Im probably going a bit more overboard than usual with it this year for the obvious reason of keeping the family entertained and differentiating the days. We’re making a big deal about a Chinese New Year feast next week too.

I think it’s been a great season and I’ve watched more games than I ever have. Great diversion from the day to day ***** were all living through

I've really enjoyed this season, mainly because Miami were actually half decent for the 1st time in a decade. Looking forward to next year.

As for the Superbowl I'm not working Mondays at the moment so will be able to enjoy the game without worrying about the morning. I'm off the drink at the moment so don't have to make that choice. Pepsi Max Cherry with plenty ice will do me. Food wise it's always chicken wings with 2 home made sauces; blue cheese and chilli. Might do some hot dogs or pizza as well.

Watching on my own although there will likely be a bit of banter in our Fantasy Football WhatsApp group and with another couple of guys who follow the game.

Isnt buffalo chicken beer cheese dip just naming five unconnected food groups one after another?

Ive now updated the menu, im making some homemade chorizo chilli and doing chilli dogs for the 3rd quarter.
And what could be better than connecting the otherwise unconnected‽

Because of home schooling and the fact that I won't be able to go anywhere this year to watch the game I'm letting my kids stay up for the first time. I don't know how long they'll last but they've requested:

Pepperoni Pizza, Slow cooked pulled pork nachos, Beef burritos and Hot Dogs, with plenty of crisps, skittles and starburst on the side. Washing it all down with Irn Bru.

    I'm a proud dad

I may through some southern fried chicken in there as well, just to finish it all off.
The schools are on holiday here in Edinburgh so I don’t have to worry about home schooling. Given that I just realised that today my choice of food has yet to be finalised, pizza and hotdogs will feature heavily, no alcohol this year though as I fell asleep a couple of years ago when having a drink.

    United we stand here....

    I’ve taken Monday off.

    Food wise I’ve got:

    Loaded potato skins
    Nachos
Corndogs (Lidl had a box of them)
    Mini pizzas
    The M&S mini toasties

    I’ll make:
    Sliders
    Fried chicken with buffalo sauce

    What are ‘sliders’?
and what makes potato skins loaded? Is it that sort of herby coating?

    Sliders = Mini burgers
Loaded potato skins = lots of filling in it (pepperoni, bacon, sour cream, etc.)

The sliders might have to be full burgers. I’m struggling to find mini rolls for them.

Ive seen them on menus but never knew what they were. As a professional glutton I’m not sure I like the idea of a smaller burger

I end up eating more than I would a full burger.

A decent pastry cutter and some brioche buns works pretty well for sliders.

Alternatively making your own is pretty easy. Bread flour, caster sugar, yeast, butter and warm water.

    Corn dogs suck, their rotten.
How does everyone else cook their hotdogs. Do you just boil them or do you grill them or maybe even fry them?

On a hot grill, just for a couple of minutes each side, to get that crispy thing going on.
The chilli has just come out of the oven. Reheat it tomorrow for the dogs.
All ready. I’m just hoping it isn’t 28-0 or something at the end of the first quarter. Give us a classic.

Super Bowl Jeep ad with Springsteen, commercial or is it a public service broadcast?

There’s also going to be a space x ad for commercial space travel.

    So who's everyone cheering tonight?
Bucs for me, think the chiefs will come on top again. But tight game last time so who knows?!

    Chiefs for me.

Food wise I've got some chicken wings marinading in buttermilk. Will pop them in some flour seasoned with salt, mustard powder and paprika then fry them up. Blue cheese sauce made. Also got some tortilla chips which I'll stick in the oven with some cheese then throw some jalapeños and home made salsa on top.

I want the Chiefs to win but not really fussed, I just want a good exciting game.

Just had a wee snack of chilli with nachos and melted cheese, this recipe is so good, from the guy who runs Lupe Pintos the legendary Mexican deli in Leven Terrace. It tastes better for being left for 24 hours to infuse, I’m sure of it. Will serve it up with the dogs and some homemade guacamole and old El Paso refried beans and corn in the cob. Too early for beer yet, I’ll just fall asleep!

I’ve had a little bet on it going to overtime and also Shaq Barrett for MVP. The Chiefs tackle who would normally block him is missing through injury and I think Mahomes will have a lot of pressure from the Buccs front four. It usually goes to a QB but you never know.

Maybe it's a surprise or maybe it's not, but I find myself wanting the Bucks to win. Certainly a surprise to me lol
