    Team for Sunday?

    I would play...

    Brown

    Hart Bamba Stephens/Hogg Hanlon

    Wotherspoon De Graaf Miller Galbraith

    Stokes Riordan

I think Yogi should start to play a team that is going to have more width, esp at Easter Road. Wotherspoon & Galbraith can run all day box to box.

Hogg will play - he's the captain, I guess.

I'd like to see the rest of the team as you've lined them up, though probably McBride in for Galbraith, with Danny coming on in the second half. However, I rather expect a 4-5-1, with Nish leading the line and Deek back at outside-left.

Unless, of course, he's gone to Blackpool by Sunday....

I'd completely forgotten that Ian Murray was suspended and I though Stack would maybe have recovered. Brown between the sticks and Hanlon in for Murray.

Assuming that Bamba and Riordan are still Hibs players come Sunday, I'd go with:

    Brown

    Hart
    Bamba
    Murray
    Hanlon

    De Graff
    McBride
    Miller
    Wotherspoon

    Riordan
    Stokes

That for me will not be very far from the starting 11 IMHO.

However I think we may see Smith rather than Brown between the sticks?????

    ______________Brown

    ______Hogg____Bamba___Hanlon
    Wotherspoon_________________Galbraith
    ____________De Graaf___McBride
    _________________Miller
    __________Stokes_______Riordan

Gives us decent pace and width in attack, can easily be switched to a 442 with Hanlon going to LB and Wotherspoon dropping back, and De Graaf going to RM and Galbraith LM.

Might even be able to see a bit more from Miller with two players doing the dog work in behind him, and Stokes and Riordan will always be a threat...

I cannae see a 4-4-2, so with a 4-5-1 likely formation, I'd play two sitting CMs to protect the back 4

    ............................. Smith
    Hart ........... Hogg ............ Bamba ........... Hanlon

    .................. Thicot ........... McBride

De Graaf ................. Miller ..................... Deeks

    ................................ Stokes

  18. #17
If all the squad are still present and correct, and fully fit, it'll be the same team that started on Sunday but with Stack in goals and Nish in for Spoony.

If they're not fit, it'll be the same XI.

  19. #18
This would be my team for Sunday.

    Smith

    Hart---Hogg---Bamba---Galbraith

    McBride
    Spoony---DeGraaf---Miller

    Stokes---Nish
    Subs

    Brown
    Stephens
    Hanlon
    Rankin
    Thicot
Riordan (would start if Nish unavailable)
Gow (still think he'll arrive by the weekend although have nothing to back this up)

That's the team I would play.
Bamba & Stevens at the back and Spoons & Galbraith down the sides supporting Hanlon and Hart .
I wonder if Hogg didnt have the arm band would he be easier to drop .
Its a tough call for Yogi you drop your captain once your making an example that anybody can be dropped ,you drop him twice you picked the wrong guy to give the armband to , and theres the rub will Yogi drop him again ,IMO if Hogg stays and plays Yogis cutting his time at Hibs

Im going for my wacky FIFA 10 formation of 3-4-1-2.

    - ----------------------Stack---------------------

    -----------Stevens-------Bamba----------- Thicot---------

-----Hart -------De Graff ------ Miller ------ Galbraith ------

    -------------------------Zemmama ---------------------

    ------------------Riordan ----------Stokes------------

*Three big blokes at the back to kill. Hart as a RM as he is good at attacking and defending, not sure about Galbraith but who else is there for LM? (dare not say deeko ).

*Zemmama in a free role where he can do what he likes and be the Morrocan Messi he has inside him, be that bit of creativity to unlock the door.

Well this layout won me the league at least

I'd be more than happy to see this team line up against Motherwell. I'd rather Stephens than Hogg as i dont rate Hoggy at all! albeit he's played under our last 4 managers etc so they must see something, but he is a bombscare and Jones carried him through two seasons at ER.

Width is a must. Thankfully we are at Fir Park before the horrendous turf digs up.

I will be happy with a point against Mothwerwell 1-1 is my prediction

    On semi pro joking

    anyway,

Zouma is injured, but i can see where your coming from with that formation. Hart proved against Maribor that he can no longer get up and down the wing freely, he's not as slow as Murray though!!

I agree 100% that Deeks and Stokes need to partner up front

Didnt realise about Zouma, thats a real shame. I feel like stomping all the way to Edina when i see no stokes and deeko up front!!!!

How sharp does stokesy look btw? Quick, lean, pacey. Think with a proper pre-season ahead for him this season unlike last he will score even more.
