Where will Wotherspoon fit into the team then??

    I reckon this:

    ..........................................Smith/Stack/Brown

    ...................Murray..........Hogg........... .Stephens..........Hart

    ..............................Mcbride............. ....Miller

    ...................Riordan............Zemmama..... ............De Graaf

    ..........................................Stokes

I would like to see sponny play a part, but may have more bench time next season, which may do him more good than harm after a hectic one last season and takes some of the preasure off him

I think Bamba will be gone hence his exclusion - still looks a good team though

Spoony was used last season where he was needed, this season he'll play in his natural position as either a right sided attacking midfielder or the right side of a front three.

Hopefully with a fully fit Zemmama and the arrival of De Graaf and Hart we will be very stong down the right side of our team and have players competing with each other to be first choice, can only be good IMO.

    Perhaps a 3-5-2?

    GK

    RCB Stephens
    CB Hogg
    LCB Hanlon

    RWB Hart
    RCM De Graaf
    DM McBride
    LCM Miller
    LWB Murray

    CF Stokes
    CF Riordan

Wotherspoon a very useful sub. Above is assuming Bamba's departure.

I really do think, given our goalkeeping problems in recent years, that playing three goalkeepers is a great idea - especially in derbies.

Although i think the wee man is great to watch at times i just cant see zoumma getting much game time espec if yogi is going to continue with miller and mcbride.

we where badly exposed last year through the middle with lack of height and grit id imagine de graaf will be played in the middle rather than wide on the right with spoony outwide.
i really hope we will see more of galbraith this year aswell although i dont want to bench deeks..... glad im no the gaffer!!

We all know he's as good as gone tbf. If you're about to drop some sort of hint that he won't be then please allow me 10 seconds to remove my trousers before you do so.

why would no one play hanlon in front of hogg/stephens?

he came in last year and was outstanding at centre half, better than hogg and with more experience now than stephens, so for me its a formidable bamba/hanlon centre half pairing

    stack

    hart bamba hanlon murray

    de graaf miller mcbride

    zemmamma riordan

I thought Zemmama was ****ed for a good long while? Even if hes not would you put him straight in the team without a pre season behind him?

For me the team should set out like this

    Stack

    RB Hart
    CH Hogg
    CH Bamba
    LB Murray

    RM Wotherspoon
    CM De graff
    CM Miller
    LM Riordan

How can people justify playing our new signing Stephens, who has hardly played a first team game in his entire career, who nobody knows anything about, apart from him being tall, over a player who came on leaps and bounds last year when played in his position of Centre Back Paul Hanlon?

Also, I'd like to see Wotherspoon played in the middle at some point this year, he's played there before at Youth Level, and would give us some real driving forward that we haven't had since Latapy.

    GK - Brown

    RB - Hart
    CH - Bamba
    CH - Hanlon
    LB - Murray

    DM - McBride
    CM - De Graaf
    CM - Miller

    RW - Wotherspoon
    LW - Riordan

    ST - Stokes

This is assuming no one is sold and no one else is brought in.

How come you've got Murray at RB?

I think Spoony will sit on the bench until October when he'll come on for Zoumer on 60 mins and keep that position for the rest of the season while Zoumer recovers from injury.

I think the team is supposed to be flipped round.

Not sure what my first team would be, it's a squad game though and Wotherspoon will fit in somewhere at some point.

agree with the bit in bold, Wotherspoon had a long season for someone just breaking into the first team and it showed in the run in, he's an exiting player though and im looking forward to seeing more of him

Zemmama normally only plays for the 1st few months of the season then it gets too cold for him and he gets injured so when he's not available Wotherspoon will slip in to replace him. Like another poster said - it's about the squad and over the course of the season Wotherspoon will definately get his chance.
