Plenty empty seats at the Paraguay game.

Cannot understand why just before the match they don't give them away to the poorer local communities who will never get the chance to experience a top flight football match.

FIFA missing out on some good PR here.

That wouldn't be fair on the people that had paid for a ticket and would make people think about buying a ticket for future games if they know they can hold out and maybe get one for free

Fair point but still think FIFA could have done more to enable more locals to see the games live, especially games like this one where both teams do not have a huge support.

Maybe they could have allocated a section of the ground for locals at much reduced ticket prices.

Although they won't win the World Cup, I was very impressed with Paraguay. 2 good goals, and their marking and closing down was superb. They never stopped trying to attack, even in the 4th minute of injury time. They look a good side, if not quite capable of winning the tournament outright.

Remember it well Steven! His value has just increased after that strike - you should dig you your previous communications to Hibs, saying 'told you so' and see if they will give you a scouting job !

By a mile my arse, it took the TV folk about 8 replays to decide it should maybe have been offside and they expect the lino to spot that instantly, hard to tell who it even hit.

Italy should be able to pick NZ apart so i wouldnt worry.

It was - the NZ defender clearly had a handful of his shirt.

Having said that, it's no worse than what goes on at practically every free kick or corner that gets taken, but in this case the guy got caught doing it.

I'm sure that holding a player's shirt like that is an offence, regardless of whether it causes him to fall over
