World cup - Scottish based players

    Hi there,

Managed to show my ignorance yesterday (not uncommon). Someone asked how many players in the world cup play their league football in Scotland?

    Anyone know?

    cheers

Also add Slovenian goalkeeper Dusan Pernis of Dundee United to the list.

    12.

It's interesting to see only 3 countries have squads made up entirely from domestic based players:

    England, Germany and Italy.

Surely then Hinkel must be taken off the list of scottish based players, since celtc don't play in germany

Did Chris Killen sign for Middlesboro or was it a loan? On a seperate note I know they aren't with them now but up to the transfer window in January you could have added Scott McDonald, Chris Killen and Portugese boy from Rangers. If you added the Irish who almost got there (thanks Thierry) it could have amounted to quite a lot. Flies in the face of a lot of our opinions of SPL football.

PS I know if your Auntie had balls she would be your Uncle and that.......

My bad - I read an old article, just after the draw was made, which mentioned Hinkel potentially facing McDonald, just before the January transfer window.

As the World Cup progresses and the push for hearts season tickets ramps up I fully expect stories in the media of potential signings of World Cup stars for Hearts.

    You heard it here first........

I'm not sure, but haven't Beasley and Edu left Rangers?

I don't think Edu has but Beasley certainly left them at the end of the season.
