What's the best thing to use to clean the car engine?
A guy is coming to see my car at the weekend (see hibay ) but he only wants the engine, it's a great engine but is a bit manky and I want to clean it up a bit.
Old fashioned soap and water do the trick?
I'm not spending money on expensive cleaning stuff, taking the engine out etc, just a quick once over.

I used to co-own a car cleaning business and the amount of fan-dans that thought they could jet wash their engine compartment because they had seen professionals do it was unbelievable. You have to be really careful.
