    Scrapping my car

Does anyone know where I could get money for parts if I scrap my car? As a whole no-one would buy it but I'm sure the wheels, tyres, doors and even engine are worth something as in decent nick. Any advice would be appreciated.

Check ebay to see if similar bits for your car are for sale - I use it for bits for my bikes.

Or what about the breakers at Newbridge, they might buy it?

I had a wee look on ebay but I don't fancy taking my car apart myself and knowing what bits would see. Plus there aren't any bids for the parts that are listed there already. What is the name of the place at Newbridge?

Put the car on ebay, well desrcibed as for spares. You'll get more that way than scraping it.

So if I do that they would just pick it up and use it as they wanted? Still under MOT so I guess nothing wrong with that?

    Yup!
    .
Just make sure its well desrcibed, that you think its only good for parts/spares but its currently got a MOT and should be OK.

Aye I may as well I suppose. MOT runs till July and it works fine, just that it is old S-reg Mitsubishi Carisma, 65,000 miles with odd scrapes etc

If your trying to sell it in individual parts you could always offer the engine to some Universities. Mechanical engineering departments are often looking. Depends what condition it is in mind
