When was the white HFC lettering removed from the seats in the old East Terracing?

Was down today and they were finishing off the fence where the old East turnstiles used to be. The gates are in place at both ends of the new stand and the perimeter fence looks like it's complete.

It's to store the written transfer requests from Smith that slip through his fingers due to the swirling wind, and blow away into the stands.

I think Hibs saw Hearts planning application - you know, all that paper in those boxes, and put a plan in place to keep it all need and tidy.

Turns out in the end, we actually just built the thing and didn't need boxes. Or paperclips.

Is it not something to do with the design of the stand being one tier and with it being as steep as it is?

I'm sure that I heard something similar when I done a tour of the Ajax Stadium and it means that, should you fall, you should be stopped from falling within so many rows.

Or I may be talking bull.

Nope - that'll be what it's about. AND they'll be handy for auld codgers like me to hang on to while we're having our heart attacks climbing the stairs.

Looking at those photos, I have to say it's a very impressive finished article.

They actually ARE the paperclips used for the Yams panning application.

Hibs bought them and the proceeds of the sale now mean that the Yams have 60% of the total fund required to buy that new lightbulb that they're after.

I have a few shots from my comfy leather executive seat with arm rests in the FF stand. Will post a link once I have sorted them out.

Might I just say what a pleasure it was to finally meet you today - well done for coming up and asking if it was me - I'm usually too reserved for that sort of brashness! I'm really looking forward to your shots OF the East, rather than mine FROM it.

(I've been a fan of Supermac's pictures on Flickr way before all this East Stand toomfoolery kicked off, by the way)

Before anyone asks us to get a room...to the business of pictures.....

Looking like a real stand with spectators milling about....

The view that greets you when you walk out through the concourse

The view from my lofty position at the back row....

Hearts apparently have melted down the paperclips from their planning application to obtain the steel for their 'cut down' new stand.

The teams come out to an "East Stand" Welcome for the first time

And look, there were rumours, I know, but there actually IS a corner flag between the East and South Stands.....

    Cheers Jamie, fab pictures also....

When your top one was taken, I was probably still waiting to get out from the end of my row!

I got a shot of some dudes carrying a load of flags before the game - I'll get that one up later tonight....

Great to meet you at last Dave, hope you got some nice shots yesterday and enjoyed the day despite the result. Here are some of mine just for starters! More to follow in due course.

And check out your third shot - that's me standing right above the "h" in "hibeesbounce.com". The irony of actually being right in front of a pillar in the East Stand!
